Same thing here. There only needs to be the rumor of snow and the schools close.

Looks like more is on the way this week.

The wind chill factor is going to be a bit harsh to say the least.

hit almost 40 today here in melbourne..... Sizzling.....Too hot for me...

And quite a few suburbs and the city have lost power as a result. Trains delayed a lot, lots of traffic etc....My brother was stuck on a train for over an hour and still hasnt moved. Most of the passengers jumped off to catch a lift in a car Bloody weather!!!

@jedi-master.

Yeah, you make us sick

40 degrees is really hot, sounds too hot for me. That'd be too hot to walk around bare-footed on the beach.

The sad thing is though, no one wanted to come beach today

Sure hope he wasn't in one of those tin can trains with no air-conditioning. Those are horrible on hot days.

Even most of the tennis was called off due to extreme heat.

@shaliron

think it was over an hour the delay on the trainb....Left the city at 4:30 and was still there at 6...Most got a lift

It was a v-line train....The seats are at least comfy on them and air-con is always very good on them in the heat...Most of the time its on so high its usually freezing

I think I am gonna hit the sun-tanning beds with a towel and sunglasses.

I'm missing the sun too much now. The hottest it ever gets here is about 25 degrees although we have a couple of beaches here too so it isn't too bad in the summer.
