Edit: Pictures of the T630 now up on the first post!
Just found and bought what's described and what looks like a grade A genuine grey facia for the T630 here on Ebay for £5.48, which brings my total initial outlay up to £17.48 on my first phone.
I could have gotten a slightly cheaper non-genuine one, and there were plenty from Hong Kong, but had delivery times of 7-14 days, and I suspect wouldn't be genuine ones! This one looks genuine and for a great price too, time will tell, hopefully I'll recieve it shortly!
A little aside by the way, this is actually the first T630 I've ever owned, think I've had almost every other model at some stage except for this one!

Though just been informed that the screws are from a Nokia so I may have a problem gettin the screws to go into the new facia, or i'll have to be on the lookout for some cheap/spare screws for it!
But the main thing is the phone itself works fine, for me as long as the mainboard is in full working condition then a phone is salvageable.

Yeah, forgot to tell you that before, its just the screws are a little big and forcing them into the holes may be a bit of a problem, i did that once and it ripped out the metal thred on the facia :S

@Sammy_boy
I fell upon a site that did proper screw packs. I will try and remember where I seen it.
EDIT:
Don't know if these will be any good, they are for a K750i :-

Thanks for the link, though they may be a bit too big, and shipping from Hong Kong would take rather a long time. I might see how these Nokia screws fit.
Shame I don't have another dead SE to pinch the screws out of!

Hey great idea. I just realised how i changed an old LG into a Motorla V3x earlier in the year. (with a few trades along the way) and i then swapped the V3x for a k800.
This works if you stick to your guns!

The k750i screws shpuld fit, its just that the nokia screws are wider then the SE ones. Im 99% sure on that but dont hold me responsible |

wow sammy, having another go at it? good luck man! Isn't that a T637? because I have a T630, and it's white (have it a year now, in 9/10 condition ) it's quite a good phone. looking to flash it to T637 software, so as to have the 850 band and then sell it!
It's been a loyal phone till now, although some dust gets into many places like between the keys, in the speaker, and in the camera. I'm surprised the back part of your phone is scratched in the mirror part and not in the camera description (33mm, 1:2. because on mine only that part has some paint peeled off. The rest is as new
I'd suggest if you could get a T630 keypad it would be cool, because it light up entirely, not only the characters, and soolks good in the dark
Sometimes some grease appears at the connectors on the bottom, they are visible and I remember that once it made the phone not have good contact with the charger pins, an I had to put some wheight on it so as to keep it in place. Later I descovered the grease there and took it out easily with a pin
Well, anyway good luck man! you're sort of like "recycling" the phones and so you also contribute to nature as well Cheers
EDIT: that menu looks like a T610 one! because on T630/T637 there is the "my friends" menu in the place of Games, and that menu replaces the Shortcuts. Perhaps they gave you a T610 with T637 housing and a TFT screen? can you check the software ? (and also if you have the 850 band please?)

Was there a My Friends menu on the T-Mobile branded T630? I seem to remember the black T630s being from T-Mobile.

This is an unlocked and unbranded T630, but yes, there is no 'my friends' menu on it! There's a 'Chat' menu in the messaging but that's about it.
My new facia has arrived, and is a genuine one! Unmarked, phone should look a lot better when it's fitted. Though I do have a problem in that indeed the screws currently in the phone don't fit, so I now have a slight delay whilst I get some screws. The guy who I got the phone off has actually found some screws and is kindly sending them on, hopefully I'll have the phone listed in Ebay in a few days

Yay!
Don't forget to post the link to the auction. I reckon you should get about £40.
How long is the sale gonna be 3 days, 5 days?

Will probably do a 3 day sale for it, will get the auction up once I've got the right screws as dont' want to wreck the threads on the new facia, don't think they'd physically go in even if I forced them anyways.
I was hoping to get the listing up today, never mind!
