the newer connecting ports are much better than the previous ones.
but i sure wish would place separate 3.5mm headphone jacks on their newer walkman-branded phones. no need for adaptors and less accidental disconnections from the port when inside my jeans pockets.

well i have been using SE fones for 3 years now...
true, the terminals suck... they collect dust and everything... and they tend to lose contact with data cable, charger, and headsets.
dumb users cry out loud about it and throw the fones away to buy the bricks instead...
smart users just clean the dust from the terminals using sandpaper and enjoy the Sony experience.
Carl Zeiss looks like a market gimmick coz N93 pics are pathetic.

hey v3xat10n,
first off, i am filipino and you're comment that most filipinos prefer NOKIA is absurd. you're going to nitpick on SE because of their low grade quality chargers? if you think that SE has low grade chargers, then what about NOKIA chargers? i guarantee you that when it comes to the functionality and overall quality of a phone, SE will always kick NOKIA's a**. do you even know what a carl zeiss lens is? look, before you open you're mouth v3xat10n, learn to make your arguments more intelligent because if you are an SE hater then i assure you, you are on the wrong thread for this.
oh by the way, in case you check the survey the market here in manila, SE is now ahead of Nokia as the phone people would like to own, already own.......

Once again some over-zealous SE fanatics signing up to protect SE interests. I have preferred and ever since my first mobile phone, but i'm seriously disappointed with SE ever since their silence about the "WalkmanŽ hissing feature".. Totally unacceptable from a so-called leading company.
Here are some facts:
1. Nokia has better charge-ports..
2. Nokia has better screens (So much better than SE)
3. Nokia has Symbian
4. Contrary to what's been said, Nokia's have very good stand-by / talk times, considering the much larger screen and superior hardware..
Nokia is better. Get over it. |

nokias charger port is more basic and robust but saying that I have never had any problems with any se charger. the main reason that my friends have complained about nokias is coz of the battery life.
battery life personally doesn't bother me as I always use my phones in car cradles that charge the phone.
also never noticed much difference between the screens on nokias or se phones, they are both better than any moto I have used. neither beats the screen on my tytn

Hey lastikcizme
Remember that facts leave no room for possibilities. For you to state a fact that Nokia has better charge ports and a better screen is hogwash. Where did you get your facts? Who's your source? You can't prove that Nokia has better charge ports than SE. For you to simply declare that Nokia has a better screen than Ericsson, that is simply your opinion and not a fact. Maybe the reason why you like Nokia's screen much better than SE is because of the fact that maybe you lack the basic IQ to operate SE's more functional interface.
Next time you shoot from your mouth lastikcizme, try to think and ponder things over your head before posting some facts that lack merit.

Way to go, fanboy!
I'll try to reply your meaninless post as clear as a mentally-challenged jumpy fanboy such as yourself can understand. While reading my reply, you might want to get a person of average intelligence to read it with you and explain you where necessary.
I can prove you that Nokia charge ports are superior. I've never encountered anyone having problems with their nokia charge ports, whereas almost everyone complains about SE's. What kind of proof do you need? Would you like a certificate? Or a documentary?
Nokia screens are much better, both in dimensions and in resolution. Nokia's within the same price range have awesome screens compared to their SE counterparts, this is undisputable. You get 320x240 screen just recently on SE models, whereas Nokia's nowadays come with 352x416 screens, which are also bigger in size.
More functional interface? Lacking the symbian support most Nokia's possess for years now, a SE phone is not very complicated to use, is it? Don't worry, although it is challenging for you, even for people with average IQ, Nokia interface is very easy to use and flexible, thanks to it's fully integrated Symbian Operating System.
Next time you spew out nonsense about functionality, at least try to save two numbers on a contact's "mobile number" field. Nuff said.
Go enjoy SE's crippled product line, where you have to choose between Walkman (which used to include the "Walkman hissing featureŽ" by the way) w/o built in camera, or a Cam-phone with limited Music capabilities. No thanks, i deserve more in exchange of my money.
PS. No Radio on W880?? What a joke. |

yes w880 has no FM. but nokia have better jokes than SE. take the example of 6670 - have nothing spec to even mention (except symbian but it dont fall under the category of spec. and this OS not the product of nokia) , but the joke is that it comes at the same price of K750,...
is it not a better joke.?
you can find many good joke series nokia phones.

6670 was released in 2004, whereas k750 was in 4rth quarter of 2005. And don't forget that k750 is the best equipped SE ever, still not outbested by the company..
Anyone else with more jokes? |

Not wishing to seem picky but the K750i was released 2nd quarter of 2005. SE K800i (the mainstream model) has the same resolution as an N73 and 6300 (Nokia's mainstream models) Even Nokia's top model, the N95, has the same resolution at 240x320.

6670 was launched in 4th Q of 2004 whereas K750 was in 2nd Q of 2005, the difference is 6 months only. does it mean that nokia would sell at higher price just because it was released earlier.? |

lastikcizme,
Wow, good to know that big college education of yours paid is paying off. You can now actually formulate an intelligent reply. That merits an applause I suppose. Go ahead dumb boy, give yourself an applause. You deserve at 10 seconds of self gratification.
Again, just because you have never encountered anyone with a Nokia charge port problem, it doesn't make it a FACT that Nokia owns the better charge port. Do you think out of all the people that own a Nokia phone that they have never encountered any problems with their charge ports? Why don't you try and take a survey of the entire earth population and ask Nokia phone owners to see if they have encountered such charging problems with their Nokia phones? I guarantee you that you will get a lot of replies from people that have had problems with their Nokia charge ports. Do you think a certificate or a documentary will prove anything? Even so, if they ever did a documentary, Nokia doesn't stand a chance against SE.
Also, dumb boy, did you read my post? Did I mention anything about me having difficulty with the SE interface? Try practicing some more reading skills my caveman reader and don't let those brain cramps put a cramp on your reading ability.
I am laughing my ass right now as to how you think that Nokia's interface is better. You're telling me that the N-Series' user interface can beat SE's? You're far more mentally challenged than I originally thought. Besides the gruesome hang time every time you try to use the multimedia features of an N90, N91, N93, N93i and maybe the N95, its UI design is uninspired. There is no way in hell that the N-Series' interface can ever compete with Sony "no hang-time" Ericsson's UI.
And as for enjoying SE's supposed "crippled" product line, YES I AM. As a matter of fact, there are a lot more people enjoying an SE phone right now as opposed to enjoying Nokia's phone lineup.
Anytime you want to debate as to why Nokia will never be better than Ericsson, be my guest but as far as debating as to who produces better quality phones????...there is no debate. There is only one answer and that is Sony Ericsson.

@jcwhite_uk, thanks for correcting me out. I checked it around in some mobile-phone-sites, and came to the conclusion that the release date was Q4, but it seems i was mistaken. But, this doesn't contradict the fact that k750 is still superior to even the newest SE handsets.
Yes, N95 is of the same resolution, but it's got 16M colors. So it is better than the best screen SE can bring up, not to mention that many of Nokia's feasible priced models start to come in 352x416 @16M. |
