If I'm not mistaken, isnt the E530 an Ericsson platform? I think I remember reading an old 2004/2003 PDF sourced from Ericsson.com subsite regarding that. I'll dig and edit my post to confirm.

Update:
Sony Ericsson is working on a 14mm thick 3.2 megapixel Cybershot phone. Maybe an update to the K800 (like the W810 to the W800).
They also cancelled a rectangular looking swivel to focus on something more mass market (or something they 'think' the market wants'). Apparently larger than the 7370, meaning higher up in specs. Would've been W900 successor?
Maybe they changed it into a slider?

I just hope comes up with a cybershot/walkman wi-fi smartphone. Besides that it will just be cam or music and regular phones that run the same java apps for years. Thats why i said that īs 5mpx cybershot wont get near N95, not cause of the cam but because of everything else. I know the market purposes but iīm interest in a mobile that appeals to me in terms of tech and is not doing that right now and iīm a bit skeptic about the future. I just hope doesnt downgrade phones anymore. We have had enough of that. |

Yup, it should definitely - 5 MP and NOT - 4 MP, as no one might buy it  3.2 MP to 4 MP will show NOT much difference I'm sure !

SloopJB; I'm with you on that. I just saw an incredible video of the N95 and man switching the DualSlide and menu is REAL fast; more so that existing MS Mobile devices on the market and THAT is saying something.
SE's next high end phone should have WiFi (with UMA support) built-in and Quadband for more sales. Give us a powerful camera and the ability for the END user to download their city/country's maps (UPDATED please) for their region with the ability to update via Wireless Provider or WiFI.
Now, as for a new smartphone. I can wait so long as its power efficient (frugal enough to last days with full options in swing), and menu is DAMN fast and enough RAM to use all apps without it crashing due to buffer underrun issues.
I dont want a slim device and Motorola & Samsung is beating that slim crap to death. Furthermore with others making fashion phones like Chocolate, dont bother SE you'll loose dollars! Make you phones fashionable yet time appealing as they usually are. I know that in 4 years time, tech specs aside I can use my W810 and not feel embarrassed in public to use it.

Well the Handycam phone seems like the one you guys have been looking for. It is apparantly based upon the M600 and therefore means that it'll have UIQ. Let's just hope that it has a more stable firmware Not sure if it'll have a 5 megapixel camera though...
Anyway, I've just added some more recently and the list'll keep getting updated so just keep checking for more updates

Prom1, i also like my w800 a lot and it will be an interesting device for quite some time... but these phones belong to a that no longer exists. The desing and strategy of the company have changed. No more all-in-one top notch phones (like w800 that had the best cam and the best media player when it came out), instead we have a bunch of mid-end phones trying to reach out a bunch of different markets and nothing specially done for the techies heheh This is so true that has even downgraded older platforms in order to follow the new direction.
I said i was skeptical because i still think is gonna make a bunch of different phones with specific functions instead of one having almost all of them, like nokia does (nokia has several lines and still has a top notch all in one line, the n series). It appears now that instead of making really advanced new techs is going to release AGAIN older plataforms but instead of being sold as  or cybers., is gonna make īslimī versions of them and sell the same thing for the third time.
Some phones here and there may have new techs like 5mpx cam, wi-fi, optical zoom and etc... but still no all-in-one phone and probably no smartphone for the mass market.
may be reaching new customers but its definately loosing old loyal ones. |

E series for 'Emotional' Design phones.
Only about three smartphones. Not as many as 2006.
Once again, an upgraded platform; a new UI.
New phone E510 which will become part of the Emotional design category.
