There is no secret dude, i use my phone the way it should be used ie makiing calls, browsing the net via 3G and WIFI...using swiss manager helps alot in my opinion since installing that program my mem and performance of the p990i is getting better and better.
Now at 12 days without a re-start or re-boot... |

LOL muppet, i probably use my phone alot more extensively than you do .
I dont know but half the problems on here and over at my-symbian i dont suffer from...although a few bugs that i do suffer from, funnily enough i can live with them and dont find them making that much of a big difference to my usage. |

It is normal if you took good care for the phone. I could keep my w800 on for a long time although I am heavy user of the phone like you, but the only thing which can stop me is the battery. Sometimes i drain it completely and the phone turns itself off.
Thanks

I don't think you use your phone more than I do, because by 9.00PM everyday my battery shows almost empty , due to heavy use I charge it everynight at weekdays, at the weekends my battery last at least 35-40 hours because I don't use the phone that heavily.
If you can send us a screen shot of 12 days, I'll say you're the king ))

So please enlighten me as to why your sig at the bottom craves for a p990i??. A bit moronic on your part isnt it??

Old Sig! really must update it! ps Nothing "moronic" about being just too busy to worry about something soooo trivial

Well been over 10 days since i last re-booted or re-started my p990i...have to say this phone is simply superb
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spawn posted his first message about his phone's up time on the Sep 29th as 4 days . On Oct. 2nd he posted his up time as 10 days. There are only 3 days between Sep 29 and Oct 2nd, so please explain us how the hell did you get 10 days on your phone's up time ? I'm curious to know.
We are here to learn from experienced guys like you , but it seems like you're full of BS. This means we all have to read all your previous posts maybe we have been BS'ed more by you who knows .
thanx .....no hard feelings

^^ lol....interesting.
I don't have any claims like that... my longest uptime I think is just over 2 days. I'm still in the bad habit of letting the battery die completely before charging.. haha
Edit: ahh correction...seems like my phone has in fact been up for 3d 19hrs 4min. Didn't realise the battery lasted as long as that on one charge. still have 46% left on the battery too. I'll be chuffed if it makes 5 days, but when the BST-34 comes out i'd like to see at least a week on a single charge!

@Doublecheese, well spotted buddy ! He (Spawn) is a German kid living in NY. I very much doubt he has ever touched a P990i - never mind owning one. Certainly has the 'guts' to call names anyone doubting his allegations.

@doublecheese
RE: comments about Spawn's P990
Well my P990 has been very very stable since the last firmware upgrade (Generic World 2) and the only reason my up-time is not much more than 2.5 days is that I do regular back-ups just before checkng for firmware upgrades.
@mario2004
Well, no comment really except I have exchanged detail information on P990 problems with Spawn for many weeks |

@Jah Ok, I believe you buddy, on the other hand I still think 'Doublecheese' has a somewhat 'interesting observation'. Ofcourse should Spawn's allegation be right then certainly the P990i will turne out into a 'force' to be reken with.

Since I have been using the Swiss Man, I have no more reboots. It means that the only problem I had, at least in my case, was about running out of memory.
Now the down side of using the Swiss Man is that is killing ALL the running apps. No function like we used ot have in SMan to take snapshot of the apps you wanna keep running. So next time yo need to open an app the time it takes is longer than if the app was already runnig (Handy Day for example).
But I can live with this untill we get better apps (SMan or Swiss) if my phone does not CRASH due to runing out of its 60 MB of memory !!!!!
My uptime is now at 2d ish
