For me it would definetely be the K800i to keep.
Yes, the W900i is better when it comes to music, but in all honesty anyone who knows anything about quality and music will tell you that the Mega Bass feature is far far overated. [I apreciate that everyones ears are different and music is subjective, but really!].
At the end of the day, for me personally, I am a serious music listener, and therefore a walkman-phone is never going to live up to a dedicated DAP. The capacity for starters is limited.
On the contrary, although I enjoy photography, I am more than happy with a "point and click" device with limited settings and very reasonable photos, and so the K800i is perfect.
At the end of the day, as most other users have said, which do you take more seriously when it comes to quality and features? your music or photos? From that, it is easy to make your decision

It produces a little bit too much bass for my liking. Personally I think the sound is much better without the MegaBass.

@mayk bam
An Audiophile listens to their music reproduced as faithful to the original as possible. This is best achieved using top quality equipment rather than exaggerating the Bass.

Agreed.
Personally, I use an iRiver H320, with the custom RockBox.org firmware, and Shure headphones.....and no other DAP, or phone for that matter, can rival it for me.
Having said that, after 2 years of heavy usage, it is finally starting to die on me, so I will be looking for a new DAP to replace it.
The thing is, the H300's still compete with other DAPs which are only coming out now. Its remarkable to think that iRiver managed to bring out a player with a full colour screen and video playback, over two years ago that can compete with releases up until this day.
So I guess I will be sticking with iRiver...although they seem to be moving away from their old 'techie' audience to a more mainstream audience, and with it the quality of their players
