I like the size and looks of the phone but the W550 Keypad really turns me off. To bad SE din't take the time to disign a new keypad in stead of copying an (really bad) old one. Although featurewise the W850 knows how to compensate  .

I know what you mean about the keypad. I think a W810 slide out would have been better.
Loving the new Walkman UI though. It looks really good.

looks dodgy in my point of view
why do they update the W800i so much and not others, like camera covers, auto focus etc....

from a quick glance of mine to w850..
pros: great features, unique back-side texture( i think it should be a "Scratch-Proof" back-side  ), last but not least.. superb 2” size clear color screen.
cons: vulnerable lens, w550i keypad , and last but not least.. the price! i guess 
i'll give this phone 7 out of 10 rate cheers.. |

Personally i don't care that they keypad isn't very exciting. most of the time it'll be hidden anyways and in that case, surely the most important thing is that it's easy to use? We wont know about that till someone can get their hands on one |

it may use same lenses so it has auto focus too.

Wenn they will announce Handycam?
I have heard Handycam would be first "slider" phone of SE but
suprised with W850 slider.

looks okay to me - i'd probably get it. just a little skeptical about the keypad part - it's not looking too good.

yeap, on the mobileburn website provided by another member here (look up), it says the camera has autofocus.

The Phone Does not have Auto Focus. As from now on Auto Focus will
only be on Sony Ericsson's Cybershot phones.
The software has been upgraded as it is now using an advance media player just as in W950i.
Video is the same QCIF for the W850i
