i dont mean to offend here, but hey, is anything wrong with that, if you do have the money to spend, didnt get the k750/w800, etc?

guys there are no major changes in this phone..
the only reasons you would want this are because
you have money to waste
you can get it cheap
you need 850/edge
you didn't spend money on the k750/w800
you want the better screen, updated UI and like the dpad and keypad better.

sniff around the web for w810 reviews. mobileburn's is especially good since it has the most details on the many little advancements over the k750/w800 - for those who still think the w810 is nothing more than an EDGE-enabled w800, like the S710 to the S700. the +10 index is misleading

not to mention funny too, as the writer tries so hard to hold back his bias towards the phone but it just manifests itself all throughout the review

so nothing special about it besides its new??

also the walkman logo stuck on the bottom of the keypad will come off when you phone is hot or under the hot weather eg in the car... just like the k700 with its rubber stick pealing off..

I don't think that's a problem...

Many people were worried about the reliability of the sticker on the bottom. And now it is not a sticker but a part of the body, which will last for ages. That means the picture is covered with transparent plastic. I managed to tear the plastic off only in ten minutes of hard work with a knife and a screwdriver. Be sure, you will never lose it. I advise not to repeat my experiment, as in my case that was a non-working sample.

w810 has newer UI, better screen, better keypad/dpad, edge and extra 850 band, better video playback

i find the sound quality to be cleaner too.. in the walkman player.
overall it's not an upgrade it's more like a replacement for the k750i/w800i which will be discontinued soon...

Yep a work colleague has just got a w800 and it hisses quite a lot not really good enough

Well, I just bought a W810i and the it appears that it suffers the same poor sound quality as the W800i, especially noticeable at low volumes.

yeah a mate of ine got the w810 last week, it feels a lot firmer and durable than the K750 i have, my k750 squeaks and rattles and doesnt feel so durable anymore. The themes of the 810 are cool, especially the equalizer oen as somebody has said. The w810 also seemed to show true colours when i compared it to my k750, and the pictures seemed to be brighter and slightly clearer, and to top it off, the W810 looks absolutley gorgeous!!!

Maybe after the second week you'll spot all the extra features, given that it has the new version of the UI including full web browser, newsreader, update service, plus the same camera/processing as the W900i getting rid of the blue streaks in low light and giving a nice smooth black (obviously with noise but you can't help that and can at least filter this easier than the streaks).
