Not a bad idea, though I still don't get the worry about large memory cards - they don't use any more battery than smaller ones. If there is a difference it'd be less than 5%.
I have a little pouch to carry my hpm-70, lense cleaner, and spare memory, so a battery will be a handy addition to that little pack.

very handy. I hate being stuck with a full memory card or the inability to listen to my music.

Another thing, just to be pedantic, Memory Stick DUO only supports up to 128MB. For larger than that you need a Memoery Stick DUO PRO. It is the Pro standard that supports up to 32GB.
