And I guess that might just be the problem here.
I did make another topic on the monitor.
Cant get it to work !
I'll try to uninstall it "again"
I use package 5 from the T-65,..the one with drivers and mobile phone monitor,.nothing else.

Hey Jan
Please report bck here when you get this motherfu.... to work the right way.
If you can't get this bluetooth PC card to send files between the notebook & the T68 AND surf the net on your notebook - I will not spend the money on a bluetooth card yet.
The standard and the support is obviously not there yet........
Kind regards Claus |

hey Claus
I did make a connection between notebook and T-68,..and it worked fine.
My problems are more related to the phonemonitor and my internet-settings. These are the things, I believe, that screws it up.
I'm gonna try out some more stuff with the bluetooth card tomorrow.
A good thing with this Anycom card is, that its got drivers and file-transfer-software for Win CE/pocket pc
Its said that the Anycom card is the most versatile bluetooth card,..and it does support a lot of bluetooth-profiles.
I will get this "baby" to work,..I'm quite sure of that.
And I can even use it together with the Compaq Ipaq H3870,..its got the programs for pocket pc transfer.
Should get my Ipaq this week,...I hope

I have managed to get Bluetooth
synchronization working with
the TDK USB dongle.
It works when I initiate the synch
from the PC, but not then I select
synchronize from the phone.
Has anyone managed to get syncronization
working when initiated from the T68?

Hi,
The main advantage associated with the Anycom card is that it ships with Pocket PC drivers. However, you need these drivers only if you have a Pocket PC PDA without bluetooth (ipaq 3850/ HP 568) and with a PC card expansion sleeve. In this case, you can use Anycom with your Laptop as well as PDA.
The main disadvantage with the Anycom card is that it doesn't support the headset profile. It only supports the following profiles.
General Access, Service Discovery Application, Object Exchange, Object Push, LAN Access, Serial Port, File Transfer, Dial-Up Networking, Proprietary Anycom Wireless Printing.
It means you can't use this card for Video conferencing/voice chat with a bluetooth headset.

Hehe,..I wasnt planning on "voice-chatting" anyway..hehe
Dont really need that, nor the video-thing.
I dont know if any other bluetooth-card supports this/have audio-profiles.
The Anycom card does have the "important" bluetooth-profiles, I believe.
I'll basically be using the file-transfer-methods, and of course the connection/internet-parts.

Hi Jan,
I thought that you would be interested in using your Bluespoon headset with a Bluetooth PC card .
As I mentioned in the earlier posts, the Troy Windport Bluetooth PC card seems to be the only card that supports the "headset profile". You can get more info from:
http://wireless.troygroup.com/wireless/products/wireless/windport.asp
The Bluetooth cards from IBM and Motorola are expected to support the headset profile in the future firmware releases.

Owizard > Nahh not really Havent actually thought much about it that way,..dont believe I would use it.
It would seem more possible, that I would use it with the compaq,..but not with the laptop.
BTW just took a look at the link from the other topic "PDA",..very cool little program for the Ipaq,..from Visual-IT.....hmm.
Yes, I know that when the cards are upgradeable,..you're able to put in new bluetooth-profiles. Same thing with headsets actually.
My guess is, that the audio/voice-profile isnt "the one" that people would use most in e.g. cards,..thats probably why there arent that many cards, that supports it yet.
I actually never saw the Troy-card, but I'll have a look at it,..and what it can do

Hi Jan.
Ordered the TDK Bluetooth PC-card yesterday and are waiting to get it. Think it will arrive next week. Any common problems that you think I have to be prepeared on with installing and paring my phone and laptop? What do you think about the TDK card?? Well.. It's maybe too late to ask now, since I've already ordered it...
Just hope that it will work on my laptop.
Johan
PS. New goldmedalrush for Norway this evening again maybe? By the way: have you asked the tech.part of Nextlink if the Bluespoon supports magic word?
Thanks!! |

Hi Johan
Well, I dont have the TDK-card. so I dont really know much about this card.
Mine is the Anycom. The manual told exactly what to do, when installing the card drivers/software,..and it was perfect and quite easy.
After the card drivers and software was installed,..I first paired from the laptop, searching for the phone,..it was found immediatly. Then I paired it the other way around,..meaning that, I let the phone search for other bluetooth devices. It was successfull too Typed in the "passkey" (could be 0000, doesnt matter) on the phone, and after that a screen popped up on the laptop, and I typed the passkey there too
I know one person, that uses the TDK-card, and it works fine for him.
No, I havent been to nextlink yet. Should be in this week.

I have an Ambicom CF BT card (www.ambicom.com) on XP Pro. It's the wrost product that i've seen.
1. inconsitency, can't connect most of the time (checked with Serial Interface)
2. pairing is lost most of the time (especially after reboot)
3. In order to connect successfully to my T68, i have to (everytime rebooted/hibernated) run Bluetooth Neighborhood, Discover device, (found computer) then have to turn on T68's dicoverable, then Discover device again ... etc etc (and not successfull everytime)
4. When connecting, a dialog will always shown to select which connection to use (although there is only one available) I think it should assign a special dedicated virtual com port for the pair device and stop asking!
5. Can't connect when the phone no longer in discoverable mode (even when paired)
6. It will stop working sometime (while connect as modem), and the only solution is to reboot the computer.
7. Needless to say, no luck with Ericsson Phone Monitor... (have been trying lot's of install/unintall)
8. No Bluetooth logo on the card, i suspect they have not gotten SIG's approval.
9. Seems this product is still in early beta and they are already selling it!
Arrrrrg!! anyone else own the same card or facing similiar problem? |

float > I'm from malaysia too, having the same problem like you, The Ambicom Bluetooth card is totaly crap. My advice, return back the card and get refund, wait for a good product to be available.
Good luck.

I use the Anycom card,..actually writing from the laptop right now using the bluetooth card and T-68 as modem.
It works very well. I use gprs.
It connects immediatly to phone, and seems very stabile.
I can recommend this card, and its even easy to install, with a good manual
