Welcome to the wonderful world of technology. Price drops are no different to any other kind of tech. related item - early adopters always have and always will pay a premium comapred to those who wait. Besides, in terms of mobile phone life cycles a year is ancient anyway.
For example, do I moan becuase I recently spend almost £400 on a graphics card, now only to see the price dropped significantly? No because I was prepared to pay a premium to be there at the start.  | |

@dr - The MORAL of the STORY is . . . N E V E R buy a  fone model on it's initial launch wait for a year or two before getting yourself one, NOW, I'm very certain that the PRICE sure is LOW and you will REALLY FEEL that you were NOT cheated! Good luck!

PHones and technology will depreciate just like anything else - just look at cars!
I've had four cars so far, none of them new, and have still probably lost a lot of money - thousands - on them through depreciation.
If there were no depreciation, my 6 year old Corsa would be worth £9,000 and you'd have to pay £200 for a Nokia 3310!
