Well the way I look at it once dougproctor had it flashed then it was game over. Who knows what the person who flashed it did to the phone. If it was a shop they could have used the IMEI on another P910i (or any other phone for that matter) or caused no end of other problems.

i am starting to be a bit suspicious of this, as looking at dougproctor's thread in the p900 forum, the phone was working fine for him, and then suddenly it was blocked after he had it unbranded and flashed at the shop

it just seems too much of a coincidence that it happened straight after that

fill me in please...i've never blocked a phone or had my phone blocked or whatever but surely you have to have your phone registered to you/some sort of proof of purchase before you can block a phone? You can't just call up give an imei and the phone is blocked? How does it work?

If this is the case, then the first owner is the only person that can block it right? Firstly who was the first owner - handy or someone before him? Secondly, why would the original owner want to block it after such a long time!?

that is what i was thinking. Surely it can only be who the phone was registered to is able to block it??

at the moment, it looks like either the shop who did the flash have done something dodgy to the phone, or the original owner has had it blocked

Matt, do you have msn?

Handy says that he bought it with 50 others, and has had no problems with any of the others. He also trades regularly with the peopl who he bought them from and has had no other problem.

This could therefore mean the shop has done somehing to it...

Let me clear afew things up, i originally sold the phone as a refurb in which as i mentioned i brought several others (none have had a problem) this will explain why there is no imei sticker or box. This phone has passed through so many ppls hands its difficult to say where the problem is, it s very possible this shop who debranded it could have taken the imei or changed it. I really cant see though why i should be the one takin the loss on this phone, but have as a good will gesture offered to replace the board with a knowingly legit one which i think is more than fair.

also @ solidsingh if you have a problem with something you have purchased you could quite easily email me, just because my msn is on does not mean i am online, some ppl are just to lazy to communicate in the proper manner. As many ppl on here should no i am a busy person hence why i have not been selling on here recently. Think its easily ppl jump out of there pram over nothing

i think that is very generous of you handymobilez, and it will put the matter to rest.

But, it still means that someone else is getting away it.

It is looking more and more like the shop who flashed it has done something, in which case i think we should contact dougproctor and see if he can put the case to the shop and see what they have to say about it
