good luck I rode out those 4 last year and had a bit of fun with it. I am in maine now but my brother still lives in kissimmee. so I wish all the best to you and yours remember canned foods water and beer. |

hahaha i am calm about it. im starting to get used to it, and i dont see this one being as bad as last year. i have a fat guy next door, maybe i should go to his house!! hahaha
@frisco were you in kissimmee last year? yea, you know how the hurricanes are, it can be fun though!!
@dude maybe ill tie a nokia to a string and tie it to my mailbox and come back for it later hahaha
as for now... the rain is starting... wont be stopping for awhile... and we are going to get hit the worst tomorrow... the rain is already pretty bad.
and a new hurricane formed making this the biggest hurricane season ever. but I dont think that one will hit here

Best of British to you all, the last thing I heard is that Wilma had been downgraded to a cat.2 or 3, hopefully the worst of the storm was over before it hit land (apart from when it hit Mexico previously).

thx mate. we havent gotten the bad part at all yet... and it was downgraded... so im not as worried as i was... atleast it isnt as strong as it was earlier!

We are getting rain in Central FL. The storm should hit land at about 08:00 am. It is 12:54 am and still raining. No strong winds yet. Some Tornado watches here and there.
Miami and the Keys should feel those forces first.

and now... its 7:45 am over here... and just REO raid... its alll really starting now. we have tornado watches, and flood warnings, and i have noticed very strong winds. the news said it will only get worse from here for the next few hours.
all schools are closed, and most businesses... but... now im going to work

Watching FOX NEWS correspondent talking live from Everglades City. Winds don't look to bad, but reports of damge and flooding coming in.
The eye is heading for Miami, currently Category 3, 120mph winds.

Winds increasing in Everglades City.
Edit2: Widespread flooding in Key West, over 800,000 customers without power in eastern Florida.
Edit3: Significant winds in Everglades City, debris flying, FOX correspondant (reporting via Video phone) had to dodge a large piece of roofing iron! 1 fatality so far - Man killed by falling tree in Coral Springs.
