To the Aussies,

I'm from Australia too and new in all this upgrading firmware stuff. How come a few people updated with no probs from SEUS Australia site and other people have had problems?

I've downloaded the update drivers, software and was ready to roll last night but was too scared of crashing my phone after reading this forum.

I'm running R1J002 with no major problems but R1N looks much better.

So what do I do? It doesn't even tell you what the latest firmware is on SEUS. I don't want to upgrade & end up with R1L. And I don't want to use Da-vinci.

Has it been verified that R1N is available on the Aussie SEUS? Anything I should know since it's my first time upgrading??

Thanks in advance..

ok guys

here what i done

originaly my phone was with optus branded. i debranded with devinci to

CDA Number: CDA102338/38
CDA Revision: R6A
Model: K750i
Language Variant Name: EUROPE_2

firmware after that was
R1L002
prgCXC125952_EU_1_CLR1L002

few minutes ago i used devinci again to change the CDA to 102337/10
spent another $10 eros

then i went to the SE site and update was allow to R1N035

Have I missed a step. I also have CDA102338/38, bought a credit and used DaVinci to set CDA to 102337/10. The log said it was applying the new CDA, it completed without error but when I went to SEUS it still started downloading L002, so I checked my Software Info and it still says 38/38!!!

I even did a Master Reset in case but it's still the same!

Have I wasted a credit?

use devinci unlocker k750flasher_13.7.exe and select the 102337/10 and simply flashed it.. 100% done, then use SE site to get latest r1n

not much to explain.. better off adding someone on msn and run you thru

got my update today with eu1 previous software. im in the uk using a unbranded mobile on the virgin network. noticed a sligh difference in the update in that it downloaded a further file during the update process that i was not doing the other day. only a slight difference but when it happened i was pleased...now to go off and play to see the improvements.

Well finally I have R1N0035! Thanks for the help Buffboy(msn)

This is for the begginers...

Basically, your CDA has to be 102337/10 R6A to enable you to upgrade to R1N. Check this on your firmware by scrolling down the page "Software Info"

If that is the correct CDA then go ahead & update on SEUS.

If not you'll have to flash it to another region's firmware using http://www.davinci.com , flash it to EU_2 and 102337/10 R6A

Make sure you follow the instructions properly! And when you do the SEUS make sure you have the update drivers downloaded!

thanks for that info redback - I have cda 102338/55 R9A

(eu_1 and europe_2)

So I guess there's no point in me updating yet. Any idea if that means those cda's will never update, or just not available for those customisations yet?

Thats what I was asking Buffboy cause I didn't wanna flash with davinci, I thought if I waited SEUS will eventually add other CDA regions. But he reckons they won't so go do the flash. Just read the support forum(and laugh at the spelling lol) and make sure you do everything properly.

Go to the manual section in davinci & read the k750i flash tutorials, it'll show you what to do. Oh yeah & make sure you donwload the 13.7 Client NOT the 13.8 client. Apparently the cable only works with the 13.7

Let me know how you go..

Hi guys

I am from Australia too and I bought an unbranded K750i for $750 outright...

I was just about to come here swearing about how angry I was that I haven't been able to update my firmware all this time, and I was about to write a nasty email to SE as well...

Anyway, I just went to try the update one more time before getting really angry, and it actually worked! I've tried about 15 times ever since the new firmware was out and kept getting the same stupid error that I had the latest firmware, even though I know I didn't.

Well now I am happy to say I do, and first impressions are VERY positive....

Menu speeds are definately faster. As are loading of java games, and the picture quality of the games (at least the tennis game) has definately increased! Before I couldn't see the ball half the time but now its much more clearer and looks a lot better.

Thumbs up from me so far, well done SE. I will test the camera and volume out tomorrow but so far so good!

My firmware before the update was as follows:

R1L002
prgCXC125952_EU_1_CLR1L002
R1L002

Customization
CDA 102338/59 R4A
cxc 125953 R1L002
EUROPE_2

Hope you guys get your update soon

Hi All,

I use DaVinci to flash my phone to CDA 102337/10 from 102338/55 as I read on this forum that this will allow it to update via SEUS. It flashed successfully however when I have a look at my Service Info it is still coming up with the old CDA. This brings me to believe that either DaVinci is a crock or that the CDA 'On Screen' doesnt change.

Any thoughts?

P.S. It still wont update to R1N via SEUS...wtf?

@ Fabio,

You must've done something wrong while updating with Davinci. It does show your correct firmare/cda through the service menu. Mine was R1J002 then I flashed it to R1L002 on Davinci which allowed me to do the upgrade to R1N0035 on SEUS.

@ Viper6 - So the update finally worked with you on cda /59 R4A? So I wasted $15 on davinci to flash? lol hmm maybe SE have started adding other cda's to the SEUS or something I don't know. Mine wouldn't work until I got it flashed. The only problem on R1N is I still get blue lines on night shots. Check my shots of Sydney Harbour in the K750 pics topic in General Forum.
