For daylight photography I don't miss my olympus 2020. Quality on the k750 is slightly worse but more than made up for with portability. Night time and low light is much more of a mixed bag. I can live without carrying a camera everywhere and take many more photos with the k750i.

I would not use the K750i instead of a proper digital camera. For a start it's only got a CMOS detector instead of a proper CCD. Whilst the pictures it takes are okay, they are in no way better than a proper digital camera despite the hype.

My very old Fuji 1.5MP camera produces far, far better pictures than the K750i's 2MP camera.

However, the K750i is great to carry around when you need to take a phot of something in a hurry and you don't want to carry a digital camera around as well. But the quality on the K750i will always be inferior.

a camera phone that's great to carry around with a CCD sensor... i think the S700i matches that criteria... can you say that the 1.3MP camera of the S700i with a CCD sensor can put up a fight?

Thanks for the replies everyone, got a nice mixture of opinons.

I'll probably stick with my digicam for now then, I'd miss things like the optical zoom and more adaptable features and modes anyway, and the slightly better resolution. Not that I've got a K750i anyway!

My S700i is great though to have with me for those 'just in case' moments (though it is rather bulky). I'm very pleased with the quality of pictures that takes, though that certainly won't replace my digicam!
