no it's not.
That is a point of debate.
It's been said in Qatar, Bahrain, UAE and Kuwait that it's not.

The most obvious reason being that reading the Quraan in itself is in a musical tone, so why would Music be haraam?
(haraam means against the religion)

The way I see it, Music that influences bad thiings could be seen as haraam and not all music.

The way I see it, it's Makrooh, not Haraam unless specifically said so.

it's talking about a normal guys life.

Says that he wakes up, washes up, gets ready for going out.

Indians speak a certain way in Arabic, broken grammar, so some parts he raps in that way.

Then the other guy raps in Eqyptian, just says that he wants stuff in life, like money and cars.

It's a random rap song.

But I guess the general jist of it is about a guy named Mr.Khan (a common Indian name in Kuwait) and he's rapping about how he goes out and DJ's and gets with girls.

No rap about guns, gangsta's and hoes though lol.

i wouldn't know.

Haraam means taboo. or against the religion.

the idea that Music is haraam was dismissed a long time ago. Otherwise countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia would not have allowed it and the Quraan would not have been read in a musical tone.

@Blonde, no they're not pro, just some underground group trying to start something.

U got it wrong guy!! The Quraan is not read in a musical tone its the pronounciation of the words that give it a musical tone!! Music of all sorts is haraam, U know the part where all musical instruments were broken?? Anyhow not making this a religious thingy, its haraam but if u want its makrooh like prawns and smoking!

dude I swear I'm saying what the Gulf thinks.
And if not what the Gulf thinks then what I beleive because of what I've seen.
Like I've never hear that Prawns are Makrooh.... (i think wtf)
Like if it is read in a musical tone or the way that the words are read that give it it's musical tone, at the end of the day it still sounds musical....

anyway you can bring those topics up in the Religion thread.

damn it seems like posting a song is haraam

seriously it isn't people, damn all of you ganging up on the guy thank him for the song if you didn't like it you can say so but there is no need to flame -_-

as for Arabic rap last time I heard Algeria and Morroco were part of Arabia and they're rap is the bomb (seriously it rocks) and a lot of the songs are in Arabic or have some parts in Arabic so next time check it before you ditch it, some of the underground Iraqi and Kuwaiti Rap kicks ass as well.

I'm not really into music but what I've heard so far of arabic rap has been quite good. There's an egyptian group, don't know the name, that does rap but most of its songs are silly and comical nothing serious.

@786KBR
I'm sort of with you on music. But singing isn't, that's for sure.
But prawns and smoking?
Prawns as in shrimp, if I'm getting you correctly, are 100% halal.
Smoking most scolars today say is haram not makrooh, and by what smoking does to you I fully support that.
I don't want a signature anymore.

i've honestly never heard of shelfish being makrooh....

anyway, thanks darky for the comment.

as for the music, as I said, satanic music, music that influences violence, pain, or takes over someones life, then that could be seen as haram but not... a love song for example.

oh well, I've said what i have to say.
