Exactly. Early reviews claimed that the function of the centre button could be changed from activating the 'Walkman' function to instead run the 'activity meny'.
That was not possible with R1K001... perhaps with R1L001?

The reason i asked is that i feared the W800i does not have the activities feature.
Does it ?

Hmm ... I still think it looks too childish. I think I'm gonna go with K750i, besides it's cheaper
I don't need that phone for music, my car has it all, and I don't go any where without it so I got all the music I want in my "tank" lol. |

What exactly is the activities feature the k750 has that the w800 doesn't. Also how much is the w800 simfree in the uk?

So the W800i cannot minimise Java apps, you cant creat shortcuts other than the joystick directions and you cannot open your favourite bookmarks or read new messages at the touch of a button ?
Screw the W800i then, give me K750i anyday. I couldnt live without the activities feature on a SE none-smartphone anymore !

totally agree. The Activities button is a must have.
So far, due to the better low light camera in w800 firmware, to get the best of both worlds (for me anyway), I would need a w800 firmware release that includes the activities button and flight mode and the better low light cam.
Only then will I flash my K750 to w800
At this stage, the better lowlight camera and flight mode are not important enough for me to forgo the activities button. (it's a bit disapointing, 'cause flight mode would be handy) |
