@ scottkeeble
That is because O2 have not released a branded R1NA005
Your firmware is branded and you must wait for O2 to release their version |

My W800i won't accept any incoming SMS messages since yesterday. I get "message waiting please delete some from any folder" so they can go into the phone. My phone has empty messages folders, I called SE twice and they have told me new firmware is coming out 1 day next week and it might be a good idea to wait until then before sending it back to a service centre. However as I bought it at the start of this month I can return it to CPW under 28 days replacement but I'll still have old firmware in the replacement.
Anyone else heard of this problem with the text mesages?

SEUS requires you to have a W800, The phones IMEI number is checked and if the phone is not a W800 (as yours is not)then SEUS will not allow you to update it with W800 firmware

OK. So the only way to get the W800i R1NA005 Firmware is to use DaVinci or something like that?
Where can I get R1NA005 files?

They should be up on DaVinci servers, there was a URL posted many pages back that holds all SE firmware files (It was just an IP address) |

Hey..
I have a little question, why do people put a w800 firmwire on k750??
w800 and k750 are 98% indentical.. so what's the hitch?

The "flight mode" is the best part of W800i's F/W. |

There is No Hitch in doing it,It just means you cant use SEUS to update your phone any more.
People put the W800 Firmware on a K750 because the mediaplayer has slightly better functionality. that is the main difference

I've got a similar situation to melmac.
I have an optimus k750i that I just got shipped out from California (I guess these models get around eh). It has R1K001.
I dont know why I would need to supply those details, because I just need to know what exactly using "davinci team" entails.
Do i need to buy one of their usb cables and some other software?
also, on the firmware files, I skimmed through page 170, but didnt really see anything about where to get them (heck, I didnt see anything period, pretty much scrolling)
(If I'm missing some details, just say so and I'll provide what I can. I did just receive this 750, so there's still plenty I dont know, although hopefully I learn more by reading.)
realized I was missing some details. It's fitted with W800i firmware. I dont know by what method it was switched over. I received it having the 800 firmware.

@ jamao
http://www.davinciteam.com will have all your answers, Read their user guides etc.
Yes it will cost you $10 and You can use the DC-60 cable you got with the k750i. (you will need to install their drivers toh, not the SE ones |

Ok.
I've been stuck with the stone-age old R1A044 firmware.
No guts to upgrade to R1N035 due to the "scary" bugs reported on this forum.
Why, SE, why don't you release the new one ASAP?
I've been tired of the R1A044's crash/reboot problem.
e.g. I set the recurrence alarm everyday so i can get up on time in the morning.
But sometimes the phone crashed and no alarm was heard in the morning.
Quite annoying. |

is there a possibility that SE would release a new firmware that includes the features of R1N035 and excluding its bugs... any news about it.... |

hope its okay to ask on here instead of the website, but seems like the english is just a little shaky.
What type of account should I be getting here? Why are there two 0 log account options?
How many credits in a log is my question I guess.
