version 2.8 of the psp firmware is available. Lets you download video, music etc via rss. To play avideo or music all you need to do put a folder called video, music etc on your mem card and your psp will play from it.

I finally have a psp too (firmware 1.50). I only need a big memorystick now, 512mb isn't enough for most games. |

i've just upgraded to ver. 2.8, you can download a demo of World tour soccer 2. and also play 3gp music files and other stuff too

but you can run free full games on 1.5, install custom firmware, emulate firmwares upto 2.71 at the moment, and so much more. must better than crappy 2.8

my PSP came with ver 2.0 and to play the frist game I bought I had to upgrade to 2.5 on the UMD, and by that time i hadn't found out about all the other games you could download and emulate so i decide to go the legit way and just iope they keep giving ud more stuff. and eventually when ver 3.1 or 3.0 comes out we'll beable to play PS 1 games downloaded.

@ glenny, break ya psp, get a new one and hope its dwngradeable. or sell on gaybay. homebrew rules. if i can run 2.71 fw on a 1.5 psp already, just think what the future will be

pspVideo9_Install file not installing, because the computer restarted during the installating procresss
