I will be buying an X10. As long as the NAM version doesn't take an extra 10 months to release (and is sold unlocked).

I'm done with WinMo (or whatever Microsoft is calling their phone OS this week).
In the consumer device market: MS has released a licensed format of music player (can't remember what it was called) only to revoke the entire system a year or two later so they can release their own device (Zune) and screw their "partners" and customers collectively.
MS is also not supporting (last I heard) Windows Mobile 6.1 with the upcoming Office Mobile 2010, leaving the vast majority of WinMo users in the cold regarding the significant update (as WinMo 6.5 hasn't even been out a year).
Now it's been announced that the HTC HD2 (one of the few WinMo 6.5 phones available) won't be upgradeable to Windows Phone 7.0.
Nice. No thanks. MS can shove it and die on the mobile front. I'll throw my support behind Google. |

But X10 will really worth it? In my country, one store has already prices for x10: (630eur) and for htc desire (560eur).
I dont think x10 is better than htc desire much less worth its bigger price. Knowing htc, desire will be avaiable first than x10 and its a shame for SE that announce x10 last year.

In my point of view all HTC devices are not good looking at all, and if the X10 can deliver a more capable and adult visual perception (i find the HTC sense and design quite childish) then it's a all go from me. But i am a little bit worried what apple got behind closed doors, maybe something revolutionary as the iphone? |

Yeah the problem with htc is the design (and the camara). But all the rest is better than SE. I dont know about apple... maybe will be a disappointing... i only expect things from they like a 5mp camara, amoled screen... dont believe they will give a bigger step (But for me if they give that plus a xenon flash, than i finally will buy an iphone) |

Don't count on it. If they had anything revolutionary in the works, it would've (should've?) been in the iPad. I expect 4G (does no good for us here in Canada), a better camera, and maybe (finally) a replaceable battery.
As for X10 vs. Desire, both are good in my books. I'm more interested in the X10 as it's the one coming to Rogers and I can't afford to pay full price. I do generally like the aesthetics of the X10 more than the desire, as well as the Sony UI vs. Sense.
As for Sony announcing the X10 when they did, that probably was a bad move on their part. You want to build some hype, but in an industry that moves as fast as this, releasing info too early can make you look very slow. Either way, if the X10 hits it's assumed date towards the ends of the month, it'll still be a competitive flagship phone. |

Seem most SE's cost more in Portugan than anywhere else. In Sweden: X10 ~560EUR and HTC Desire ~505 EUR.

yeah thats true...here in portugal is always at least 50eur higher Still, Satio price on that store was the same as x10 is now, but when satio becomed avaiable as actually 600eur and not 630eur. So i hope this will be the case too. |

It's so sad we have to keep our fingers crossed for the NAM version. We're always stuck in the cycle of "waiting for the next big thing" since we want a phone, but then it takes forever to come out with the NAM version and by then, someone newer has been announced and we tell ourselves we'll wait for the new one.
It's an unending cycle. I sincerely hope it is a global launch. I would love any news regarding the launch of the NAM version v. the International version...

WP7S will not significantly increase MS's market share until at least the 3rd quarter of 2010. There's no telling how good or bad this new OS will be but with a lack of apps and many reluctant developers, Android will take advantage of Microsoft's indecision and inertia to strengthen their foothold in the market place. |
