Hey guys sorry I didn't check in.
I am in Auckland and so well away from the devastation. My family are fine, though a family friend from our church is now a double amputee. He has been on the news a fair bit, he was the investment banker trapped in the PGG building.
I have to say when I first heard the news I was pretty upset. I was there for the quake back in September last year and so to hear that the damage was worse this time was gut wrenching. Seeing it on TV is horrible. That is my home town and I don't know the future of it. I never thought I cared so much about the place until this happened.

Our deepest sympathy to the victims....
There are also a lot of Filipinos who was trapped inside a building and still sending text messages to their friends a few days after the tragedy...and sad to say they stopped texting now....we hope and pray that they're still okay...

The NZ Prime Minister has announced there will be 2 minutes silence on Tues 1st of March at 12:51pm to remember the victims of the Christchurch earthquake.
That is:
Manila - 7:51am Tuesday
Mumbai - 5:21am Tuesday
Netherlands - 12:50am Tuesday
UK - 11:50pm Monday
Dominican Republic - 7:51pm Monday
People are being encouraged to wear Red and Black clothing on Tuesday as a sign of support for those from Christchurch. Twitter members are changing their profile photos to red/black also. (Red and Black are the colours of Christchurch city, the Canterbury region and of the champion Canterbury rugby teams.)

Oli & carkitter glad to see you and your family are ok. My brother sister in law and my nieces and nephews arrived in New Zealand two days ago thankfully they are in Wellington though. I shall remember that time for 1st March although i am away right now on the north coast of England i shall have the victims in my thoughts. I also hope the number of dead does not rise.

Speaking of which, I might update it soon to show a bit less info. I can't keep updating it now and traffic is A LOT less now. I'll probably update the member's phones list to reflect the three of us that are still here's changes, and I'll remove the SE phones in NZ list I reckon. What do you reckon carkitter?
By the way, just bought a new MacBook Pro just today after the refresh a week or two back.
Can't wait for it to arrive!
