don't get me wrong. i believe the phone is fast and will be getting it.
but the extra speed here and there of timescape seems to depend on how much internet data is being pulled at the time. That, I suppose, depends a lot on network speed and other variables.
It's not something that's gonna deter me from getting the X10. Obviously, data being retrieved from the internet will take a moment to load. There's nothing that's gonna prevent this and to write off an entire device because of it would be very silly.
I'm very much looking forward to getting my hands on on. My only concern at this point is when the WHITE north american model will be available. I'm in desperate need of replacing my Z710i (yes.. it's THAT old).

Me too. My old C905 is holding on for dear life.
I'm wondering how the 'live updates' work. Does it poll constantly or can we set it to poll for live information every 5, 15 or 30 mins.

Ah, don't worry. Just think how big your eyes are going to be when you unbox your X10. You'll look like a Giant Squid.

Any word on whether this will get Flash10.1?
I want to know this too. I read somewhere that a lot of other phones aren't getting flash 10.1 but that it's about the processor involved. I think the X10 is capable of running flash 10.1, but I'm not sure if it's going to be at the discretion of the SE or available 3rd-party.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Does anyone want to spend his money to a singletouch-old UI device like x10 with 256k colors screen when in a few months (just when SE will finally manage to make an upgrade to Android 2.0) products like this :

Have you tried multi and single touch and can you really tell the difference? (Forget about the pinch zoom, because we have passed that loooong time ago.)
I don't care about multitouch and what android 2.1 brings.
I deeply believe in that SE will resolve the 256K screen otherwise it would be quite a stupid idea to put a screen can support 1.6M colours.
I also deeply believe in that SE's software will be much more better than Apple's. SE does almost everything right whereas others do some of things perfect and forget the rest(such as photo taking)
I believe in SE more than any other manufacturer. That's why I'm going to buy X10.
Love,
XXXX

The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

Sony Ericsson are listed as a partner for Windows Phone Series 7, so you could wait for the WP7 phone made by Sony Ericsson. Plus the first Windows Phone Series 7 phones are going to be out around November, which is a good while away.
All in all I understand what you have been saying for weeks, but you have to understand many people here really like the look of the phone regardless the version of Android on the phone myself included. Also with what's been happening with the Apple vs HTC saga, putting multitouch into the X10 could get them a lawsuit from Apple.

Man not to keep comparing the X10 to other products, but HTC's Legend Android 2.1 device + Sense was announced on February 16th. Reviews popped up last week and it looks like units are starting to ship, less than a month after the announcement. Now HTC is a hardware manufacturer and have loads of experience developing Android handsets, but I hope Sony gets to this point where it can announce and ship a device in less than a month because this just looks good on HTCs part.
I can't wait to see the US availability date.
