Expansys will not their P990s until next week, looks like the 4th August is more realistic then the 'Estimated 2 days'

Yeah that has been said on every delay, then a few more days passes and we see another delay. And once again the same thing is said, its just getting a little annoying. I would rather these sites not put a date at all until they get them. |

My local shop here in Norway (we buy lots of phones from them) had a confirmation from SE that the P990i should be in their shops on August 3. Will pick it up the same day! |

I wonder whether the delays could have been linked to an article I saw in Computer Weekly ... Symbian OS release 9.3 offering native Wireless support and UMA protocol -(VOIP over wireless)

No Please read other posts here. Delays were to do with s/w problems.

Ermm... and an additional release of the OS isn;t software ? Maybe they have been waiting for the WiFi stuff to be fine tuned ?

I said NO - P990 uses Symbian 9.1. The problems are with s/w for the defined platform of Symbian 9.1 and UIQ3.

Yep just had a look at expansys again and from 2 days its gone back to 7 days expected delivery lol. I do hope by end of next week that this phone is finally out and in my grubby hands:D |

I also think that the 4th of August also sounds resonable. Also, Michal Jerz from my-sybian.com got the latest fw upgrade, if that is not buggy, then the phone is truely on its way.
