thank 4 ur information at all; but it's not a logical thing to say that because i have bought a 500$ phone i should pay 10$ more.

anyway let's see how does it differ from the old R1J!

My phone with R1N consistently crashes when I try an replace an existing contact's number with an updated number. It will crash, go to the white screen of death and reboot. Every single time, regardless of which contact I update.

Disappointing,is what i can say of R1N,after that hard process of updating it really dedn't worth it.
MS Duo just goes mad and after copying a few files it hanges.
in the first post it says :"louder mp3 volume",BUT the volume of a mp3 file set as ringtone is still twice as louder than usual mp3 playback!!!(sth like the volume of k700i!!)
No significant jbenchmark improvement.
haven't tested the signal reception yet.
bluetooth stability really improved,But the MS Duo REALLY S*CKS.
hope better days 4 SE.

Hello,

I'd like to know if there is any idea on when SEUS is going to provide us with the new firmware update.

My personal opinion is that R1N operates quite worse in my set (W800i) than the original R1L.

I miss in the SE support webpage more information about the current SW releases and the approximate date for the next release.

I understand many complaints about the buggy releases that SE has launched, but at the same time I know the pressure that suffers the current SW development environment: this kind of problems are intrinsic to the inertia that the industry has taken; too much importance on being the first.

The World is mad

i didnt mean to imply that you absolutely should spend another $10 as i in no way represent davinci or any other third party software.

i was stating my personal oppinion that flashing with them has much higher success rate. easier fixing dead phones too after seus blunder if it happens.

i mostly said it as a response to your attitude
"3-My F/W is R1J,should i update it to R1N or wait 4 the next F/W?(Because there are no SE service centers around here AND i'm not going to pay 10 bucks to those davinci guys.)"
sugesting that a tradeoff of having dead phone and yelling PLEASE HELP or spending $10 and reviving that brick is worth it up to the value of the phone. and if you are not ready for the concequences that things can go wrong and sometimes yes that involves spending money to get yourself out, you should not be flashing.
offcourse, everyone should try all alternatives by all means at their disspossal, but you got to admit you were lucky it was just explorer (old info again just remebered reading that topic a while ago too on one of the first pages of this thread as well as on seus site) and not GDFS corruption.

anyways you asked a question whether r1n035 was worth flashing and got clear response and from other posts you could gather why. did you realy think youll get different results than hundreds of ppl that flashed before you, or you thought users are trying to mislead you and keep you away from some amazing firmware thats r1n035?
therefore your mini review of the firmware seems kinda redundant two months later and we all know bugs and positives about this firmware. hECK its on the first post LOL.
peace!!!

Well,i've read all this forum from the begining nad i have also read that you get MS Duo corruption with R1N ,BUT the reason i did update my F/W was mainly because of the mp3 volume increase as said in the first post by mwarner (which after updating i didn't notice any increase).
My memory card is 64 and i also have BT dongle and what's more is that i usually don't ttansfer too much files to the phone, that's why i did the update DESPITE knowing that such problem exists.
any way the cam's quality is better and the jbechmark rasults a bit better but i still somehow fill misguided by the first post about that volume increase thing.
now u got any idea why a mp3 file set a ringtone sounds twice louder than usual playback?
One more thing, what's this GDFs corruption thing u mentioned in ur post?

mp3 while ringing is twice louder but the quality is decreased during playback, if it played at same volume with full encoding it would just sound garbled cause k750s small ext speaker cant reproduce good sound at higher volumes. test this by manually setting equiliser to all bars full and then playing in media player through external speaker at full volume. note only works listening in media player and not in folders play.
the mp3 volume for the headset HAS increased on r1n035. also u can notice volume being little louder on k750 for external speaker but nothing drastic, while on w800 theres no volume increase since they had that volume on their r1l version. so in short it has increased only to the level of w800.

GDFS is part of the flash memory where most basic settings for the phone reside. think of it as a BIOS for your cellphone and it can become corrupted during flashing.and without bios you know u cant boot the puter. in that case only way to revive your k750/w800 is to do a repair certificate, flash EROM, flash GDFS then unlock the phone since it becomes locked everytime you flash gdfs.

cant give you more advice than 1 page back.
dont see how u can screwup recovery, youre right go to seus and just click on recovery and read instructions and thats it.

anyways i think more answers are found on "r1n035 problems and possible sollutions" - thread

want another strange thing with R1N035?
just go to file manger -> pictures or video. then wach a picture, or video. when wathing try several times (ore more) (very fast) to press "back" button (go to title screen).
the midle of screen will be a "noisy" (difirent colors) gap with sand clock.
this thing does not hapen in older firmwares. like R1L005.

can it be called a bug?

Two weeks huh, well guess we shall have to wait and see.

It surely would have to be a new firmware release.

Is sony really going to give us a xmas present early
