manual ISO option is like light metering mode option - it's useless if you don't know how to use it and what for they are.
well, its no rocket sience how to understand & use manuell iso settings on a cell phone. (even my 6 years old daughter manage to figure it out on my k850)
Sonyericsson made a very good choice to follow c902 great camera-features/settings... with auto iso, color-reproduction, etc, etc
Norbi...its you who dont know what you talking about...(if you want some REAL improvement of higher or lower iso, you need first of all a bigger sensor & lens...you can change your iso on your cellphone how much you want..it will just make it more noisy or not)
(i have tried and own many camera-phones...and all with manuell iso, there have the iso-feature been useless...just crap)

well Plank, imagine that not everybody can be as smart as you or your daughter to know what ISO is. besides if somebody don't know what manual ISO is it will not use this option - simple

besides, K850i has manua ISO, and if you don't want to use it, just use auto ISO, it's that simple. And what other phones did you use with manual ISO? you say you owned many... and what ISO did they have? please explain a bit.
EDIT: i will try an example on you plank.
Imagine you're ouside, in the dark (well very very low light), and you see something amazing (your eye can pick it up, but the phone's camera can't). So you see something cool (sh!t.. imagine anything.. maybe bigfoot), and you want to take a picture of it. The subject is ~ 6-8m from you. How do you take the picture?
My option: pump up the ISO to 1600. You will have tons of noise, but you will see bigfoot (or whatever you see) clearly.
Your option: use auto ISO, and you will have a very dark picture. 2m in front of you is ok, but rest is dark.
So you understand now why is manual ISO needed by some people? I think it's more flexible to have manual iso too.
It's just like manual focus. Or is that also something you don't need in a cameraphone? peace man and reply

First off, sorry if this has already been posted - I did have a look but couldn't see it anywhere..
Carphonewarehouse now have the c905 listed as "Coming Soon - October 2008" on their site! Didn't know it was expected so soon!

had anyone here seen the latest cam comparison of C905 and INNOV8 at mobile-review?
I'd say that the C905 is really looking good...photo quality wise. |

The two first smape pictures of a guy was actually taken with R1AA i.e. an older SW. The later pictures are supposed to be with a newer one according to the EXIF data, but who knows. |

No way are these in the same price range.
The C905 is pitched a lot lower down. It might by their flagship imaging device but in no way is it up there with the Innov8.
Think K800i when that was launched. That will give you some idea of its market. After a few weeks, the price will come down quite a bit.
I hope so because this would put it in a reasonable price range. Should be able to get it free on my contract in about 6 months.

It's also good to see how SOME members suddenly think that Eldars opinion is actually worth something.

Well here in Sweden the black version is expected in week 43 and the silver one in week 45. I spoke to SE a couple of days ago and they didn't know when the copper/gold one was going to be available. |
