Sorry, but I would have to agree with Bialynia - not that impressive. Actually, not even passable. Look at that horrible noise reduction at work. And this is in daylight!
If this looks good to you, then I don't want to know what looks bad. |

Well guys it's very sad that you don't get my point. I'm not trying to bash anything. I love SE, if i hated it, i would have a nonSE phone... I owned all good SE phones since the T610, and i want that quality back from the company!!!!!! I have a problem with the C905, yes! and the problem is THE SOFTWARE. I don't know how many of you guys owned a K750i/W800/W810. Man those where some phones! I can show you pictures, which can make even the C905 hide. You can zoom in to it, and you won't see any oilpainting like items. So the point is, it's a great phone with a bad software. The End
I agree mate. K750 had such potential, then the K800 they put that stupid compression. I want to see what the sensor is capable, tbh I'd rather a little noise than the harsh compression SE have used since the K800. Don't get me wrong I'm still happy with my K800, it has it's strengths, but the water-colour effect is really bad sometimes. C902 is no better. C905 is improved, but obviously still has some conditions where too harsh N-R is used.

It is really clear to see the obvious thing.
Samsung i8510: has a excellent quality at long distances, however, develops huge noise even in daylight pictures
SE C905: has lesser good quality at long distances, however, the software has noise reduction built in, therefore long distance objects look slightly like an oil painting, however, there is usually zero noise.
What companies find hard is striking a balance between these two aspects, but there is no doubt that both phones will have various software updates, and hopefully will find or get nearer to this balance. |

who bloody cares how the pictures looks in 8m.p size...i care how the picture looks in A6, A5 or A4.....
(samsung 8510 looks also crap in full size to by the way..so its nothing unusually with that)
there is even no real camera on earth under Ģ400 who have great, sharp full size quality.
you want great full size quality, buy a real DSLR camera...(so drop this talk about good or bad full size quality on cellphones)

Agree with plant, i've a dslr, and there is no way to compare any other camera (even bridge) with the quality output.
My camera phone is there cause I want high quality snaps (not amazing) that will look good when putting on facebook/playing back a slideshow. That is the advantage of having a camera wherever you go. |

That might be great for you. I like having my phone wherever I go. I bring it everywhere so carying camera with me would be difficult. I don't like to have 2 devices with me... Or if you are in a situation when you need a quick picture and you don't have a camera with you, there is the phone. In fact I don't have any other photo camera at home. I've always used my phones for that purpose. The picture quality is enough for my needs.

M-R english version of C905 review is up. The firmware is stated R1BA072 which is strange since in the russian version itīs R1BA027. Maybe the translator just got the order wrong. |

The MR review confirms that manual ISO selection was removed when SE replaced the camera sensor with Sony's EXMOR.
They are turning this top of the line Cyber-shot into a basic point-and-shoot. I sure hope the price tag will reflect this.

what did i say some weeks ago
IM SUPER-HAPPY THAT FOLLOWED C902 EXAMPLE WITH NO CRAPPY MANUEL ISO SETTINGS. (it makes more bad then good on cellphones...if you should have manuel iso on a camera, you need MUCH bigger lens & sensor, otherwise it doesnt mather one bit)
now im even more thrilled to buy this phone
edit..im sure Sonyericsson camera-engineers knows what they doing...they just turn k850 issues to something good...keep up the good work

Yes, you're probably right plankis. Take away all the options and make the camera the easier to operate. At the same time this makes the choice between C905 and i8510 easier for those who want something more than a basic P&S. According to Eldar, the cameras are pretty similar so features will be one factor to consider:
After reviewing all images we took with the C905 and INNOV8 I suppose everyone will be able to decide for himself which phone suits your needs best. All in all, they are in the same league both quality- and price-wise, so you will have a tough decision making the right choice. |
