auto shutter speed in most situations! for me manual shutter speed is most important function but of course necessary only in exceptional situations. rule is very simple:
much light = fast shutter speed (camera can shoot very quickly)
low light = slow shutter speed (camera need more time to catch more light)
if with manual shutter speed your picture is black (underexposure) then shutter speed is too fast to catch enough light, otherwise if it's white (overexposure) then shutter speed is too slow and the light overflows the camera. imagine 25W lightbulb in front (10-20cm) of the camera, light amount is ultra high and shutter speed must be very fast to avoid overexposure. why to use manual shutter speed? first you have to understand balance between light amount and shutter speed, then you'll be able to recognize situations when manual shutter speed can be helpful. as I wrote earlier, in exceptional situations there's nothing better than total control over shutter speed

auto ISO in most situations! manual ISO in cameraphone is not that elastic like in digital camera, major advantage is that you can have total control over sensitivity when you need to move to manual settings. I'm using manual ISO mostly in two situations:
- ISO 100 when shooting
- ISO 100/125/160/200 together with 2sec exposure time in very dark scenery, just to catch more light
hey thanks raider that was some really gud info .. many doubts cleared
& oh don't worry u'll recover pretty soon

today i was havin shower & the theme WATER stucked my mind ... so here are some of the gud ones

nice shots! this kind of pic is exectly ideal situation for fast shutter speeds. try something like 1/800s or even less. this value should cut background and make diamonds more "mysterious", maybe

in my pics i used manual shutter speed, 1/1000sec and so on, ISO -50/100/150 custom colors, manual focus, zoom, compulsory flash.
since you can only add six photo's per day... i cant paste all the pics here today
plz go to my album links...
picasa or flikr
my pics are there...
a preview here --->
pl4za ---> as raider already mentioned, you have to use flash+fast shutter speed... try with different combo's of shutter speed with flash on... alternately also experiment with ISO
cyber-shooter ---> thats outrageously over-confidence man!!! i never said i'd vote for you! i just said your pics were vrey nice!!!
joking! they are nice... and yes, we are getting VER creative and good pictures this month!
that apart, the new pictures are nice. especially the macros... keep clicking!!
chikm ---> very buggy pictures!!! nice!!! the one with the plant was very good... as a general suggestion, try to avoid pictures with the bugs on the floor... it makes the picture bland. have some other subject in the the picture, like a leaf, or in your picture- plant. makes the picture full and interesting! happy bugging again!
junz ---> IMBA!! creative man!!! ina is india??? the colors on the disk look too appealing!
mechexpert ---> you and raider started this thing about this kind of pictures!!! even i took some before bath! kool !
