Huh, I don't stand what a moan and crawl on matter of currently OIS technology?

The 2-axis OIS is nothing but a joke, merely compare to software optimization stabilizer, just only sound awesome.

It about time when Nokia going to allow licenses of 3-axis OIS, that is a real deal.

HTC One M8 is now removed OIS from it Duo Camera, what would you say then?

@RandomCarpet & HxH
Thanks for correcting me on the Snapdragon s400 BIT, I ignored this... Sorry
BTW I didn't ge the info from anyone or anything, I just found it in my memories obviously it was wrong!

@HxH always remember that the TFT layer is not a type of display! TFT is found in the HTC and in the Samsung displays... if I'm not mistaking

@Smaug That's the spirit!

@miromiromi +1000 you are absolutely right

Yes. TFT is a not a display type. ALL consumer electronics LCD screens feature TFT irrespective of brand or panel type - TN/VA/IPS

I still think the Z1 was up-to-par with the competition, despite its shortcomings. All phones have theirs. Also, Sony DID say the Z1 was their best-selling smartphone ever. It's also clear that the Z2 has some advantages over its rivals. Though I know Sony has a long uphill climb, I believe that once they keep bringing amazing, competitive products like Z1 compact & Z2, there's no way to go but up. And hopefully with improved market penetration worldwide and in the US, coupled with increased marketing, we'll see it!

A lot of people repeating themselves here, and I'm just wondering when the Z2 will get released, and when the review embargoes end....

WAIT. HTC One lovers in previous page: More Xperias were sold than One. More money were made compared to none. Wake up your ideas please. Consumers prefers Sony to HTCs, the trend will not change radically, 2014.

Show me the data, and then I'll believe you.
In addition, smartphone owners can be fickle, and could jump from Sony to HTC.
Don't make too many assumptions about success or.failure. For any OEM aside from Apple and Samsung, the market is hugely volatile.

Maybe you can go find their financial statements? It's a know fact Sony makes profits out of smartphones and HTC don't. Don't act bossy or macho. This is not HTC forums.

Just a reminder!!!!
This is the Xperia rumours thread.
Discussing and comparing existing models should happen in the device specific threads.
Thank you.

looks like a great display, with big enough battery and hardware that can handle it.
personally, i like that middle size flagships are getting bigger displays. as a 6"4' person with huge hands i can operate note 3 with one hand. 5.5" would be just fine. g3 is already rumored to have such display. i think that sony shouldn't ignore this.

If Sony can fit it into the current Z2 size and not increase any bezels or lose the IP58 certification, then that would be fine but if they decide to make the device larger but thinner, decreasing battery capacity, then no thanks.
