An update is needed O' Editor of thread at large SENSE has some info on a new set of twins, Lindsay and Laura. Lindsay is emotional very, very emotional and Laura is a Walkman with pedometer ala W710. GSM slider, 14mm , 2MP and lights on the side and possibly stereo speakers on front. It seems there are grills of some sort under the Cand return keys but nobody is sure yet. Lindsay is from scotsboyuk and Laura is from sneff.

I think the VGA you're talking about is in the video recording, we heard that before, it's just a guess from i-mobile reviewer as it has the same camera module... the problem is with the accelerator, the GoForce 5500 can handle 640x480@25 I think but the problem is will it have side effects on other things like battery life, stability, bla bla bla...
maybe we will see some mod. with FAR manager to enable 640x480 later

So what? I'm not even a member so I couldn't care less.
Let them watch all they want.
People on here are getting all negative just because didn't want to announce its upcoming phones at the same time as Samsung and Nokia at 3GSM. The Nokia fanboys were as anxious to see what would announce as we were, then when didn't they start sneering . Big deal - it isn't a matter of life & death. Just move on. Its only mid February.

The fact is, thanks to this thread, most of us have got a good idea what is up to this year - improved imaging, more capable s and high speed data - Wi-fi and HSDPA solutions.
People will complain that we might not see everything in one device but how many people actually really need all that in the one device - a small coven of power-users? Everyone knows that packing too much tech into one device leads to stability issues to which every manufacturer, bar none, is susceptible.
Sony Ericsson established itself as a niche - high-end manufacturer years ago - it doesn't need / want to retain that title as the majority of consumers will have the impression that it makes only expensive handsets and so will stay away from them - which isn't a good thing if you want to increase market share.
If the rumours are correct about Sofia then this will have the same impact as the K750i did when it launched and it will raise the bar somewhat in the mid-range - right where Sony Ericsson is gunning for.

second time agreed with you golden.
but don't forget to mention the fact that will thumb up your opinion here is the Sofia isn't a very high-end phone like N95 from those Nokia'ers... it's more mass market phone just like K750 was ( and still ). just a new vision for the high-end mass market phone.

Exactly, thats why I said it will raise the bar in the mid range.
Imagine a handset with 5mp in a K750i sized device - which is what is bringing to the table. Its making high-end mobile imaging more available, this is the strategy which paid off last year and it will do the same this.
