Can someone pls gimme an insight on how to adjust the saddle and handlebars on my mtb?

You'll need an Allen (HEX) key.
Google the words BIKE MAINTENANCE and you'll find plenty of sites with written instructions - I couldn't find any with illustrations so I haven't posted a link. Did you get a owners manual with the MTB? It may have that info.

On a commuter MTB such as yours, ordinary clothes will be fine.
For speed and distance on a bike like mine you need tight fitting lycra.
For rough terrain/mud you'll want something a little looser and tougher.
Off road clothing is usually good for hiking too.

Ayush, is "tourney" written on the rear derailleur? Thats the lowest end respectable shimano transmission one can buy. anyone using xt/xtr setups here?

I cycle to my work every day, ive got a GT Arrowhead that ive had for ages and ages, good bike but getting a bit dated now. Anyone got any suggestions? I travel both along the road, and along a bumpy old railway line, so i need something quite robust

well check out your local halfords in the Janurary sales. bikes go for half price so you could set something with suspension and a robust frame [addsig]
