veon: As long as the card is mall enough to fit in the expansion card slot... it's shld be ok. By the way, how did u send the gif files from Palm to t68i? Thru funnyphone??? Before, I really wanted to put my picts in my mobile & thought of getting an IR for my PC... then someone told me that I could actually upload my picts to Esato and then download it back again using wap... but picts not as nice... Maybe it's becoz it's in gif format?

sanjeevya: I got this letter promotiong the t300 recently from Standard Chartered (S'pore). They are giving it for free if I sign up for credit card from them. Too bad I'm not eligible... still a student

You can't just beam any file into a palm unless it's a pdb (palm database) file. BUT there's a solution...

1) Beaming from Palm to T68

Go to www.palmgear.com and search for ZboxZ. Download it and read the instructions. This is a program that enables you to convert any file on your PC into a PDB file and thus enabling you to beam from your palm to your phone. Please note however that the t68 only supports file formats of .gif, .jpg, .thm (theme files), .emy (your ringtones) and .imy (imelody ringtones).

2) Beaming from T68 to Palm

You need a program called McFile (get it from palmgear too). This is a database program which lets you run your palm like windows explorer. You can control wat files to move and copy and watever you want. So the thing to do is to add a database (read the instructions and you will know how to do it) into McFile. So for example, you add in *.jpg... you will be able to beam a JPEG file to your palm (with Mcfile running) from your phone. If you add *.gif then you can beam GIF files... and so on... I do this to make backups of my ringtones, pics and themes.

I hope this helps! Cheers!

forgot something - GIF (still ones, NOT animated) files can be beamed from your palm via Funnyphone. I seldom use it now coz i find ZboxZ to be more powerful coz i can beam any kind of file with it. But Funnyphone lets you view the pics on your palm though, so that's the good thing about Funnyphone. NOTE : Funnyphone only supports GIF files and EMelody ringtones.

How much is Sandisk 64MB SD card?

@scrreech - try to download the logo pack from funnysoft.org and try out first. Actually palm is not natively support jpeg and gif yet. Mean you can't view any jpeg and gif by palm yet but sony clie abble to preview jpeg only. So you need to convert your gif file to palm file format and syn it to your palm then only you will be able to send by funnyphone. I think funnysoft.org do provide the convertor software.

@veron I got mine scandisk 64mb mmc card february this year for my creative mp3 player and it cost me rm200(usd50) for the card.

Below is some of my favorite palm application
Noah Pro - english dictionary
KDic - english to chinese dictionary
GSMtool - to beam phone num from palm to t68 and ask it to auto dial it. I keep most of my friend's num in palm. And it can be a backup if my phone out of battery and i have to use public phone.
HappyDays - keep track of my friends birthday
MonkeyLogo and MonkeyTone - send logo and ringing tone to any nokia handphone through t68.
PhoneSMS - to keep all the funny sms in palm and able to resend it to other friend later by infra.

Overall a palm + t68 = perfect match to do most of the stuff.

@sanjeevjaya
I suggest you to buy palm pda but not pocket pc. As we know that MS product sux in memory management. Altough it have 64mb ram compare to palm max 16mb build in ram but pocket pc will end up with eating up more the ram. It's hard to find program that is over 1 mb for palm pda but "most" of the pocket pc software are more then 1 mb.

I used m105 for 1 year plus and I feel very satisfy for it. I might change my pda to sony clie either t655 or nr70v
