YES!!!! jeah!! It started to work!!!
Now I want to ask you guys how to change the default p800 icons???
I saw some guy sooner here in this topic with great icons!!!
Can I get the p900 icons somewhere???
I have tried Gnome set but it f**ked up my p800 and I needed to restore!!!

this depends on your firmware. Update to newest version and icon-packs will work.

I updated my p800 firmware in june is there newer firwmware available???
Or is that firmware just messed up because i cant get it to work??
@deceased gnome icons are RedHat linux icons and iconSetGnome is just a .SIS file that changes your icons...

What will be in the next magic themes version?? will it have background picture in the menu?? will it have button pictures (like showed on the pictures in the start of this topic..)...??
And yeah... what will MT be after that all the fully p900 theme and the bmp buttons....
Is there some thing possible to do mor to fix the p800 system look??
I hope Symbianwave will make a application named MagicIcons so we can change the icons and make our own icons....

Iīm sorry, I just read in a forum, that it depends on the firmware and that some people had hard problems with it. I installed XP-Icon Pack without knowing and it works, but my firmware ist very old. (R1D) - Canīt say more about that. Maybe you visit the forum where the creators posted the Icon-Pack-Release and ask them....

AFAIK - Applist wallpaper, Sound(wav, midi) and FC Status Bar will be implemented, and who knows what else comes up. The FC-Balloons have not been planned but for some unknown reason they are here.

yes, yes! at last someone said i wanted to hear since i got my p800 (unfortunately, now it's broken)! believe me, a half of my posts at my-symbian were about px00's icons! yes, this idea isn't new, but still is actual. i personally would love to see smth like magic icons  ...

@all is there any way to change my old magic themes to UTZ??? so I can send them to my friend having p900??
And edit it with vito theme editor????
Maby Symbianwave should also make a MagicThemes to UTZ file converter??? or a MagicThemes pc editor???

About "Magic Icons": this is not too interesting for us, because we don't see how to earn money with that program  . Imagine: a user installs the program, changes icons, and then successfully deletes MI
About mt2utz converter (and PC editor): it's useless and nobody needs it. |

i've already asked one of their programmers about some sort of converter - he replied they never were and never will not develop any stuff for the pc...
i think thing is p900 uses some sort of .xml file for hanging themes and magic themes makes it possible at p800 in some another way (still, maybe with .xml).

u probably are too fast with mi idea... imagine how much there are p900 users willing to customise their icons and all p900 + all p800 users = much more of them = your profit... and i insist: there is no other software company developing apps for symbian uiq p-series that has as much experience in customising gui as symbianwave. i'm sure robin can do that if it is possible at all... but still you probably should make a poll on that - maybe we're wrong and noone esle needs such app. |

Yes I totally agree with you; MI could be demanded. But as a freeware. However at this point we cannot allow ourselves to write free programs. Robin said it would be easy to make such a program, but it would take about two weeks of coding. Plus, we need to draw some icon packs, because without them, there will be no sence in such an utility (only a few users do something by themselves). As result, we'd have a big volume of work, and a vague outlook. |

probably sometimes the free-upgrades policy sucks - they just don't want to be like epocware maybe (though i disagree with the behavoir of my-symbian.com px00 users). |
