Pretty much any will work, but the ones supported by Apple are the D-Link DBT-120.

GLENN10000,
1st- drag song to desktop
2nd- transfer file through bluetooth to p900, comand shift B
it will then go to your messages as messages beamed.
3rd- open message and save
it will now show in music player |

Thanks RPiedra.
Stona.. I've got the MacAlly white one to match the ibook.... I KNOW. It wasn't my idea (honest). Works fine although on calling applecare about the issue I had with my p900 and iCal (see earlier in this thread) they weren't willing/ able to help any further as i didn't have the D link DB120 mentioned a couple of posts ago.
I see our online friends at amazon have it for £10 cheaper than our friends at Apple and with free delivery it looks like a bargain.
I've got another question for others out there... Is the ANY way at all to install the integrated bluetooth into my iBook post purchase?? Use my bluetooth a lot more than I ever thought I would and having the dongle hanging out of the side is a pain in the proverbial not to mention I just know I'm going to damage it at some point.
I'm assuming it would require opening up by professionals of some decription if it was possible or is this just not an option.
my iBook is a 1.07GHz Superdrive shipped in September of this year (does that make any difference). |

Is it just me or is there no app that can sucessfully sync address from address book or entourage to the k700i without skipping any of the fields. Like for instance: home address and work address, web page.
I've tried phone agent, onsync, megacell, isync, mobilesync and none of them do it sucessfully. |

Your right, no programs I've seen can do that... and its annoying since both phone and Address Book support it.
However, the best way I've found is to select all your contacts in the Macs Address Book, drag to the desktop, add a .vcf extension and send via Bluetooth to the phone. All fields remain intact.

Hmmm... works fine for me. Maybe it depends on what Address format you have set in Address Book.

Hey Jools,
Do you know of any Mac applications that work like the Phone Suite that comes with the SE phones. I am looking for something to manage my phone that is a bit more robust than iSync.
Cheers, |

The only app I know of is MacMedia's PhoneAgent, but it doesn't really sync anything, just accesses & transfers stuff between Mac & T610 & K700 phones.
I think iSync is still gonna be your best bet. Hopefully the new iSync in Tiger will help, although I must say I have no problems with iSync. (Except I updated the firmware in my K700 with an unofficial solution, Total Multiserver, and now contacts don't sync! Will update again over Christmas and hope it puts it back to normal!)

I am down in Kuwait and I had to have the SE Service Center call SE Sweden or somewhere and ask them to please allow my phone to be upgraded on the EMEA_2 server. It looks like SE is cracking down on people updating their phones out of region.
*edited on a Mac of course. Mac: There is no substitute*
N82(YES), iPhone 3G, Shure es530, Nikon D300, more stuff. No more SE stuff, why am I still here? |

Mac OS X 10.3.7 is out today!
Get it in your Software Update or as a standalone installer.

@ Sapporobaby,
Another SE-Mac user in Kuwait? That's something!!

As for synching actual addresses, maybe the K700 doesn't have the corresponding address fields?
If not I suggest changing the VCF format in Adressbook prefs from v3 to v2.1. I've had much better compatibility with v2.1 before. |

Yes, I'm sure Symbiatico is right. I forgot about changing the vCard format in Address Books preferences. I just checked mine and it is set to 2.1.

Apple and Motorola iPhone is official.
I hate Motorola phone but this ounds promising.
From www.macosrumors.com:
Apple and Motorola working on iPhone!
After years of rumors which seemed baseless, the Mac community is in an uproar over reports from sites like Engadget and Forbes.com which state quite clearly that such a phone will be hitting the market -- backed up by an official announcement by Apple!
Here are some of the details:
*Apple industrial design (phone will resemble an iPod in several ways, notably the music-playing controls)
*Support for the iTunes Music Store, and the ability to play back iTunes music itself -- but designed to "complement," not replace, the iPod.
*Price tag in the $250-$350 range for features that aren't found on phones even at the $500+ price point.
*Full Bluetooth wireless connectivity support, designed to sync seamlessly with iSync/iCal/Address Book/Mail.app/Safari etc.
*Able to store about "a dozen songs" on its onboard memory, and can offload those songs to a computer or iPod.
*Most interestingly, Apple sources say the new Apple/Motorola iPhone will provide top-shelf support for wireless internet connectivity via the cellular network for any Mac which is wired to the iPhone, or connected to it via Bluetooth. Speeds will vary by network, but in a demonstration our sources witnessed transfer speeds in excess of 100K/s. Typical speeds are reported to be closer to 12-25K/s with the most popular networks in suburban locations....
Stay tuned for much more on this exciting developing story in the days ahead! |
