e.g "oh well i will return it to you, some time this week, or possibly next week... it's not my fault... but you could refund the money to my card all the same, since it was taken out before disptach, it is fitting that it should be put back before return! "

Thanks KSE for the idea, I'm gonna do it

OK,

I've just called them again and 'We're getting them in on Tuesday - Have been told by a Director'. I wish I could believe them.

Brought up the question about compensation/good-will gesture as I've been paying line rental for three weeks but have not had a phone or a SIM. Nothing was offered.

I'm off to let off some steam by writing an email to their sales manager. Probably won't change a thing but I'll feel better having written it.

I think I'll edit this seeing as I didn't post anything...

Just called them again for a laugh, and apparently they have received "the first positive response from Orange since the middle of November, and we can expect arrival of the handsets Monday/Tuesday - so customers should expect a call from their advisor Tuesday/Wednesday"... he also mentioned that the phones have passed the quality checks.

They may not be talking bollocks again, but I bet they are! If I can pick up a good deal this Saturday, I will.

I called on Friday afternoon, and they told me that Tuesday should be the day, they were told this week by Orange but they just didn't arrive apparently. So fingers crossed, hopefully it should be here next week, as I am away the week after!

I phoned today as I got tired of waiting for a replacement. Have now cancelled my contract under Orange's 14 day guarantee. Now waiting for OSPS to confirm cancellation, refund my money and then I have to go to Orange to get a line rental refund and PAC code again.

I'm hoping that the steps above don't take as long as waiting for a replacement.

I could not wait any longer for phone from OSPS, and so got one yesterday from O2 shop in Birmingham - cheaper than OSPS offer too - free on £45 per month tariff, with 1200 free texts too.

Works with my existing orange sim, so all smiles here

Actually didn't need to, they called me.

Sounding pretty certain about them getting delivered from orange on Tue/Wed and out to us after that.
