castro, hitler, qaddafi and stalin agreed that gun control works :) did someone comment on p226st(with tac rail)? ive tried it, pretty cool. doc and everyone, merry xmas :] btw, 120k for hk expert? hehe, thats too much. i got mine for $1349 last week lang. but my opinion stands... nothing beats my p99, both 9mm & .40s&w, my favorites.

Happy New Year !!!!!
After all the warnings some people never learn and still fire their guns in the air during the new year celebrations causing injuries to some poor souls out there
If those people must fire their guns why don't they just point it at their heads so we'll have one less stupid gun owner out there that gives the law abiding majority a bad rep.
Hope this new year greets all of you with all your fingers and toes intact

HAPPY NEW YEAR Doc!
all appendages accounted for... intact! and i didnt fire at all. keeping those bullets for the bad guys, thru all this dry season we're having.

oh well... i read what you just posted. unfortunately a few rotten apples spoils the whole basket... there are still idiots out there who own guns, and dont know what it is for. anyway....
lets not make them spoil our days (for now).... HAPPY NEW YEAR! may we have better days this year of the monkey!

Doing fine, thank you. Aside from GT, like you I also like HKPRO.com which is back up again, BrianEnos.com and the 1911forum(which seems to be having problems now.
Do you know that the STI edge now costs 180,000 php. I'm now having second thoughts about getting it. I'm now veering more towards the HK USP40 Expert(16 rounds with jet funnel) which costs much less at 125K. I'm also planning on acquiring a 4 inch S&W M629 which only costs 60K. Imagine I can get both excellent guns for the price of the STI. But then, the quality of the STI is really something so I'm still thinking about it.
Comelec exemptions are now being released for PPSA members in case you're having the itch to compete.

doc, if you really like the STI ....go for it. if you get anything less, di ka lang makakatulog, still wishing you had the best and what you really want! so ....get what you really want. get the STI kung gusto mo talaga.

doc, i assume by this time you have visited both the STI and the Strayer-Voight websites ....and have drooled over their new models there. i can't blame any gun-ethusiast for craving for at least one model from that site. they are great guns! so there ....if ever one is to get a 1911 ....that is the model to get!

for beginners ....a beretta is good (check out the models used by our local police). take down is easy, no complicated disassembly. a CZ75/85 is also good. this is a tough gun. also the CZ family ...jericho series. from israel. and for budget concious ....the ruger 9mm family is good.
