@Xajel,
I dont think fast charge will be part of S and Ion as they have qualcomm, fast charge is made by st ericsson, so I think it might be available with U as that has novathor.. Althought I will gladly except if I am wrong and be very amazed with the fast charge of S(my future phone )
Product managers in both Germany, Austria, Schweiz, Holland and Sweden have all confirmed it has fast charge. |

This is definitely good news about the fast charge.
@Platia1,
The 10minute = 1hour charge is just too broad definition to compare, If 10min charge = 1 hour talktime its really good, but if = standby time then not so amazing, 1hour wifi browsing?, 3g? etc. I hope you get my point. The main feature of fast charge is that it charges at higher ampere which is 3 instead of 1.5A without effecting the battery, so the total charge time is reduced by 50%.

This fast charge thing sounds great, if its one thing i dont like about my Galaxy S2 its how long it takes to charge up
Not going to get a Xperia S but im so excited about it, looks like a realy winner.

Actually both color variants have the anti-stain coating. They demonstrated it on the white one so you can see it better |

Xperia Active uses Gorilla Glass.
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

I had a friend of mine who had x10 with the shutter proof cover on, and he had abused that phone so much like dropping it every other day and what not, yet the screen was ok suprisingly but it did have quite a bit scratches.. So i guess it might be good enough?

Yes the shatter proof sheeth is good for protection though the screen itself is more scratch proof.

The X10's screen is very strong, i removed that shatterproof sheet a few weeks after getting the phone...nearly 2yrs later now and not a single scratch, same with my K850's screen which is also Mineral Glass, 4years now and the screen is still as good as new.
I think they should stick with Mineral Glass, seems to be just as Corning's "Gorilla Glass".

Lol, yep, indeed, it also made the phone more responsive when you took it off.

i took the shatter proof sheet off my x10 and a few weeks later, dropped it on my kitchen tile. it landed on a corner and the result was spider cracks that covered the lower left 25% of my screen. it was still usable, but an ugly eyesore.
Would it hav ehapened w/ the shatterproof sheet on? who knows.. but i will never go without a protective layer on my phone again...

I think or Sony rather should make the shatter proof sheet also scratch resistant rather than having to take it off to avoid scratches
