Excellent. Thanks chaps.

I don't know if its just a placebo effect but the phone is noticably quicker than the R1FA016 update.

Also, can someone confirm that if I have a Rogers Sony Ericsson X10a and unbrand it with the new R1FB001 Brazil X10a firmware, I can re-brand it back to Rogers firmware?

I don't want it be like before where I debranded my X10a to X10i generic and can't re-brand it back.

make sure you keep a copy of the 2 files you replace.

I debranded my Rogers X10a from A014 to B001 only to find out that the B001 posted here is not white listed so my paid apps cannot be reinstalled. Lucky for me, I like to keep backups and was able to reverse the process successfully and rebrand my phone.

The A016 for X10i is white listed which is what I'm running right now. Going to wait until they release newer version for NA before I switch to B014 generic for an actual update through SEUS.

Do you have the SO-01B firmware available? I see that it supports all the current languages, plus support for OGG vorbis.

Thanks in advance.

It means that it is the firmware with no adons from carriers like tre.se orange vodafone and so on, it is the default SE firmware.

Generic that is, NCB means it's for nordic phones. have the languages the nordic keyboards and some other region specific i guess

Hey skibbie,
So does that mean after that when we get any of the generic firmware, we can get every update via SEUS even though I'm in Singapore? I'm afraid of the fact that even though that I have a generic firmware, I will still not be able to get an update via SEUS in Singapore.

And also does that mean that when an update is out, we will get it immediately via update from SEUS? If so, this would solve my problem with my X10 (:

Many thanks!

@Aztriltus i guess it would work. and you will get the updates faster than using a carrier(branded) firmware. but to be honest i have never hade previos SE phones with branded fw (always bought them unbranded) so this is new for me. and i updated mine using PC companion (don't know if that is SEUS?) and it worked without problems.

Hoping someone with experience can answer more correct but i am asuming it will work in the future too or else i am f*cked

Yelsew,
My X10i is also from Singapore and yes you can flash the 016 UK X10i firmware for Singapore's X10i. But I'm not sure whether it will work in your location. I just flashed it and it works great (:

Hey skibbe,
So what is your firmware now? I still do not have any update from PC companion or SEUS with my debranded X10i with UK 016 firmware.
And can I flash another firmware with my currently debranded phone or do I need to rebrand it first?
Many thanks!
