Surely phones bought now have all these issues fixed?
Good news!! Car phone warehouse now sell the C905 sim free for only £319.95
Really? Are you sure? I've just had a look and cannot see it for that price. |

I was given the C905 as an upgrade for T-Mobile via The Carphone Warehouse in November 2008. The first problem I had was just after Christmas where the #3 button was stuck down. After three weeks it came back to me and continued to work fine.
The second time it broke was in March when the speaker went meaning that people could hear me but i couldn't hear them unless I put them on speakerphone! It was fixed within 4 hours in store so didn't pay over much attention to it.
Then most recent was at the end of April when the Wi-Fi wasn't finding any networks (despite being placed onto of my Linksys router which it had worked fine with previously) and the speaker went again. I'm now three weeks on having put my phone in for repair and it's still not back yet!! This phone is brilliant when it works, and a total nightmare when it doesn't! I've heard that Sony have recongised the problem with the first batch that they made and are replacing phones that are a continuous problem (So say Carphone Warehouse) Fingers crossed I get a new one that works!!! |

Phone crashed again. Trying right now to update with SEUS but the latest version of SEUS doesn't allow you to update regardless of whether or not you have the latest software. Actually genuinely pissed off right now at SE! |

Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I didn't find it in a search.
My C905 recently went mad; rebooting constantly after crashing during a check via Update Service for new firmware (it's already current).
Every time it restarted, it asked me to continue checking or quit - either way, it waited a few seconds and crashed.
Managed to quickly quit, get in menu and reset settings.
Anyway, I'm now left with a phone that has only got one profile - Normal. And, even in silent mode, it rings and plays the text alert (but does silence the keypad!).
I'm guessing I'm going to have to do a full reset or even reflash the firmware to fix this - which is damn annoying because it also means reconfiguring my email, reinstalling applications and so on - it's a pretty time consuming task and one that I don't really want to bother with.
Is the C905 cursed?

Try to get a full flash of your C905,dunno if A2 ulpoader can do this but Kulankendi for sure!
As for my Week 17 2009 C905 I have 2 complaints
One for hardware with the right soft-key less bright than the left one in the dark
One for Software with a good difference between the battery icon status and the battery state, but I think I need some battery cycles before being sure it's a definitive bug |

Well, it seems that my C905 has now fallen victim to one or two of the bugs and issues, as well as one or two that I haven't seen listed here, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had any of the issues.
I've had my phone for about six months. No slider wobble, so scuffed keys, nothing. So, there was me thinking that I'd got a decent handset. About a month ago, it would stop receiving emails if my Wifi was on, and wouldn't connect to MSN either. I had to turn my Wifi off, and back on again to make it work. Tweaked settings such as the sleep and power save, to no effect.
Then, about a week ago it started to freeze every other day, and my applications would disappear. When looking in the file manager, it would say that there was no memory card inserted, and sometimes it would simply say there are no files on it. Tried a different memory card, and the same thing happens.
Then, today, the earpiece has died. I tried restarting, etc but nothing, so I can only assume this is hardware failure.
Carphone Warehouse, in their usual helpful capacity, have refused to swap the handset over, and said I have to send it off each time it goes wrong, and wait potentially up to 28 days. I also have to put a £50 deposit down if I want a crappy Nokia courtesy phone.
I know it's very recent, but has anyone heard of these sort of issues with the W995? |

Hi,
Just to make sure: the speaker problem is gone on newer models? Can't afford to waste so much money actually (i'm buying one from ebay because of low cash)
thanks! |

I have a Voda supplied C905 which had their firmware on. I checked for a FW update at the weekend and I've updated to R1EA033 which I think is the latest vanilla Fw as well? Is that correct? I checked the service menu and all the locks are off. Have Voda or SE dropped a clanger here?! |

Just got a c905. My 2nd since 1st one had bad keypad light. PICTURE RMA.... Might be plus since it has latest firmware.
Problems i notice:
1. When slider is open, it wobbles side to side with little effort where it can reset the number keypad lighting.
2. D-pad or center pad is small and my thumb is big so it gets swore with lengthy uses
3. Start-up is slow...have to wait for network to show b4 i can used or it freezes for a second? could be b/c i upload flash themes? idk
4. on start-up i get snapfish prints error? cant find anything related to it on my phone....
5. Battery life sucks...had se k770i b4 and it's battery was great but then again this has wifi,gps,8mp camera, and bigger & bulkier than k770i. Used same battery as k770i. SHould have came with better battery life.
6. Bleeding light on side & bottom of keypad. Pad looks cheap and seems loose, reason for light bleeding.
I think this phone could of been made with better quality material with its 8mp camera.
btw 09 wk2 battery o9 wk3
Everything else great so far....fourth day.....

Yikes! So many problems even now make Eldar's recent article about SE manufacturing issues sound true |

Nobody can deny the C905 has its problems. Every manufacturer has their lemons. Nokia isn't better. N85 anybody? King Eldar never wrote an article about that did he? Premium device built like rubbish and falling apart? Instead he praised it. Enough said, as that in itself points out his bias/agenda. |

Hi Guys,
I've had mind swapped over in insurance a few wks back due to the speaker fault, and now this one has gone due to a camera fault.
Basically, the pics are distorted and completely out of focus, its like a 0.5 megapix camera, awful. Is this a common fault?
