Lazarini > It should be pretty close by now. A lot of people would love to see the Bluespoon right now,..I know that So would we !
I'm basically giving the info I get/recieve,..after all I'm "only" the designer, hehe
Production, sales and so on, are not my field of work.
Its always hard to make a completely new product,..a lot of things can/do go wrong,..and things are delayed,...some delays you can try and do something about,..other delays are out of your reach/hands,..nothing to do about those.
Most bluetooth-headsets (Nokia, Jabra, Plantronics and so on) have been delayed in some way,..some should have been here months ago, but as we know with mobile products, release-dates do get pushed for various reasons.

Thanks Jan for the info.
Hope the engineers solves the problem with the jawbone soon
Since you are the designer, you have already done your part. So howe about you go down to Nextlink with a fire tourch and make them work a little bit faster. So we will get our bluespoon soon . |

So which will be better in a noisy environment? HBH-30 or the Bluespoon? I need something that will filter out outside noise really well...as I work in a noisy mall. |

Is this talk about the good sound in a crowded environment in Amsterdam NOT concerning the bluespoon but a remote product in the future?
What can I expect from the bluespoon after ordering it because of its supposedly high sound quality in noisy environments?
Is the optional jawbone mic a addon to the existing bluespoon or a completely new product making the existing(?) bluespoon obsolete?
I hope that I haven't ordered the bluespoon in vain... |

I wrote this more than 14 days ago and it is still on 14 days so my guess is that it can take even another 14 days. |

Well if the latest from Nextlink is end July + 2 weeks, that means strictly the 14th, or a week today. Let's add a few days for good measure - say Monday 19th. Hopefully we can expect it then...!

BlueSpoon is more evasive than P800
Loads of people have seen and played with P800, even I had my picture taken with one, good quality picture, bad subject material .
I'm starting to think JH67 is just a figment of my imagination |

can anyone give any official news about release dates with the bluespoon ? I contacted the company in Denmark and there were kind of weary about giving me details for a large quantity order to the US. this seemed a little odd .... are they having deadline troubles ? this close to release and all anyone has ever touched are prototypes ???
I will be in Denmark next week, I wonder if hopping over to their offices would help |

Oh dear. Are you sure Bluespoon will ever come out? I think it was vaporware from start and now they try to materialize it.
Look at HBH-30. Ericsson(inventor of BT) and Sony(One of the worlds largest companies with unlimited resources and masters of electronic gadget miniaturisation).
With all their effort HBH-30 is pretty "large" and have 100h standby. (Sony invents/manufacture and have patent on Li-ion-polymer battery technology)
If bluespoon will come out now, weight 1/3 of HBH-30 and have outstanding standby and work pretty well (even with a STANDARD mirophone) i will be more than surprised...

linmajon : Well, it is true that Sony are big - but size isn't everything.
Denmark has quite a reputation for making HiFi audio products (B & O) - and especially miniature.
Around 1/3 of the worlds hearing aid production is in Denmark. If you look only at the high-end hearing aid, its more than that. You can't explain that by size - Denmark has only 5mill. ppl.
There are 3 hearing aid compagnies in Denmark, probably less than 2500ppl employed there. Yet they consistently lead the industry technology wise (Ie. Denmark released digital hearing aids over a 1-2 years before anyone else). The competitors are compagnies like 3M (~1/2 mill. employes?), Phillips, Siemens (~1/3 mill employes) and yes Sony (although they are small in Hearing aids).
Both 3M and Phillips have sold their hearing aid departments within the last few years... Even though they have unlimited founds, they are not going to use it - they would never be able to make money if they did.
Siemens seems to be the only player able to use its size to advantage...
BTW: Nextlink was founded by ppl. from the Danish hearing aid business. I don't *know* they will succeed... And their size may ofcourse keep them from wiping Sony/Nokia/Motorola etc. off the floor. Size sure helps in production efficiency and especially marketing - but I don't believe small size will stop them from being market leaders in technology.
