first of all you cant use this program to patch the phone.
you must use either jdflasher + far manager or setool 2 lite.

That would explain why the "patch" function didn't work!
You actually answered a fourth question (that I didn't even ask yet). Assuming I were to use Setool_2_lite or JDflasher, can someone shed some light on questions (1), (2) and (3) from my previous post?

First, download XS++ flashing program.
When you download MAIN and FS files for flashing, you need to download finalization files for your new firmware. There are MAAANY finalization files (a.k.a custom files or custpacks and etc...) sorted by the phone's firmware CDA numbers. To download the right one for you, you have to check your phone CDA. i have a noob question... and actually i already try to search for the answer here but no luck.. so here i am seeking for a direct answer from the Guru.. hope somebody can help me...
i'm trying to flash a new FW to my k800i. but there are some information that i need to know.
1. i think i understand most of the step that given here. but somehow i just not clear, can i just take any FW that suitable for k800i (let say CID52) regradless of my current FW (mine is R1EG001/CDA102511/74/EROM R3A016(DB2020)/CID ??) ?
2. about this FW, im from Malaysia. which FW can i take? can i flash the Europe_1 ... or APAC or else? and what is the consequence if i take wrong vers of FW?
3 does my phone sim will be lock or not after i flashing the FW.
4. My current CDA is 102511? what is CDA actually? will it be changed after i upgrade my firmware?

I updated my Sony Ericsson P990i on SEUS...the update was on the installing process when suddenly the installation was interupted it says "the update was unsuccessful"...... when i tried to run SEUS again....there is no option to "update anyway" it only says you already have the lastest software...
My P990i is dead now.......when i turn on the phone it only display a black screen it wont start...
What shud i do?..... do i have to reflash it?... please send me a step by step procedure on how to reflash it... I already have here XS++ i just dnt know how to use it.. please help me.... THANKS! |

The only thing you can do with xs++ and your symbian phone is to change the CDA and then use SEUS to upgrade your phone.

I've got a problem guys
My phone is K770 CID 52 and I want to flash to CID 53 fw so i can patch with anycid method
I tried to do so with xs, jdflasher and seus. All of them failed...

What? You don't need to do that. Just use SETool2lite to apply qapatch!
