Count me in the Kaiser's owners ; got the v1615 for 189€ from SFR with 24 months renewing subscription.
Can't wait to get it, everything is already on my desktop to dump the voda crap |

@masseur,
Surely you must've seen XDA-Developers.com?

yeah, I've seen their tutorial for WM5 to WM6 which I did on an orignial TyTN but I hadn't seen anything for debranding TyTN II
in any case, its always nice when one of our own writes a tutorial instead of pointing people to other sites

@AbuBasim
Oh yes, masseur knows, he directed me to XDA ages ago!
So yes, I would like to see a debranding tutorial posted on ESATO!

At the same time, I don't think lots of people visit this site to learn more about how to operate and hack WM phones. Maybe not as bad as it is for Nokia E90 (yes! I counted both of them!) but far more take themselves to xdadev when they thirst for WM 'funda'.

perhaps thats because we don't have home grown tutorials?
well anyway, we do have a steady number of WM members and seem to get a few more with each HTC release, but you're right, I do respect xda-developers hard work as I do respect the efforts at se-nse

Maybe Esato will get even more if the rumour about SE ordering WM phones from HTC turns out to be true?

I'm ok for the tuto, collected the infos and can sum this up (can i post links to roms here ?!)
On the other side, i need your help !
The connection management on the Kaiser is just driving me crazy. How can i manage my connections a la p990 using profiles, priorities etc ? (something including wifi management, data, bluetooth, as uiq3 does)
I really hope i'm missing something on this one.
Then, i tried to find GPSViewer to play with the gps (will get a sd card for tomtom this afternoon). Anyone know where to get this one ?
Overall I think i'll keep it, should feed my needs for a while, but wm6 is still smg very deceptive, compared to the HTC product and hardware. |
