True, however as I cannot find any software for the W950 that lets me open and view pdf adobe files I am having to make do with "docs to go" which only supports word/excel. As soon as a programme is released that can use pdf files I will PURCHASE the software. In the mean time I am trying to aviod paying £25 for a programme I will use very little !!!!
Alternativley if you know of a UIQ3 programme that supports pdf adobe speak up my man ! |

You dont seem to be fussing over FW's and RAM etc etc.
How stable is the W950??
How long is your battery life?
How much RAM on startup?
How much RAM do you have right now? (after usual daily use)
Is it slow?
Might have to swap the P990 for the W950 if its good.

Love the phone, especilly noe I have changed the brigt orange theme to the black one - much better.
Has anyone been able to set personal ringtones?. I can change the default tone for calls and for messages etc but personal ringtones don't seem too be recognised.
Any thoughts? |

That's a bug...
If you turn off the Bluetooth radio, you'll find that they work just fine.
Appears to be a problem in all of the UIQ3 devices and not just the W950. |

Thanks for the quick response - perfect answer, they work fine now.
Hopefully a firmware update will sort it as I use bluetooth a lot (sync's the address book & calendar with my work laptop and my car kit).

Excellent battery life (2+ days rather than the LT 1 day on the 990)
19m mem left at start up, down to 6m after use
I am a heavy phone user (company SIM) + like my JAVA games and videos
I re-boot about every 10 days and I no longer use SM - I use the current production firmware, nothing special
Phone is a generic version no branding.
Will be trying the BB client in the new year when we move away from vodagrone

I found that the 1st 2 secs of my mp3 ringtones is always distorted. Anybody face the same problem?
I tried to lower the bitrates, convert to wma, wav etc but still the same problem..... |

Anyone get me some keys for my neighbours new Aston Martin DBS? I don't really want to buy one as I commute by train and rarely drive, so I will use it very little !!!!

Is there any database software available for UIQ 3 yet? I know handy database is not available yet....
Was a WM5 user and looking for a database software for UIQ 3 to replace my ListPro data in WM5.
So far i am pleased with this phone except for no database software and mp3 ringtones first 2 secs distortion problem.....
