Another call from O2...

They didn't have the items in yesterday but apparently do now and my order had to be refreshed due to 'deprovisioning failed' showing up. Refreshment of the order happens automatically apparently but only once a day to tell the system to ship one out.

So I'm glad I called them earlier now!

when i phoned just now he said he has resent my order through. My O2 page reflects this saying my order was sent today at 12:45pm (still the same original order number though)

i wonder if this will trigger mine being sent out today then!?

No I bet we're now at the back of the friggin Q!

thats what i feared.... but i still have the same order number so fingers crossed it will still be ok.

I also ordered a sparate 3g sim card just incase it doesnt get sent like some people are saying.

both orders now show as being sent to warehouse and both say "Order Status: Order Sent for Fulfilment"

NOTE though!!! once the 3g sim is activated the old 2g sim card is dead. the 3g card will not work in older 2g phones.... .SO... no more swapping into another phone if you need to use a spare!

so i can't use one phone for partying (a 2g one, cos its slim and small) and one for other stuff... namely a 3g one..

why do they do that??? why? thats really bad!

I need to weigh up this 2.5g vs 3g debate. I have three phones good for diffrerent things. If I'm off site doing a conference or something I like to use my old 6310i as you can sling it about, I use my current camera phone a lot and find GPRS perfectly fast enough for what I do, WAP the odd email etc.

If you really can't use a 3g card in a normal phone I might not bother - signal non-existent here anyway and I certainly don't want to doing video calls at work where there is one -wink wink - no what I mean!

Just off the phone from carphone warehouse, they have them in stock for o2 and vodaphone, not sim free though

Worth waiting another 5 days (expansys) to get a sim free one

Just spoke to o2, they are now saying that they are out of stock and the original batch has been sold completely. I ordered mine at 11.00 yesterday and have been told that I will not be getting one until the next load of stock comes in (next week sometime).

I think that this is poor as I was promised that they would have enough stock for anyone wanting one yesterday as long as you did call yesterday.

So anyone ordering after 11.00 yesterday be prepared to be dissapointed.......

Why don't they order in loads for gods sake!! Its not as if they won't sell them. I'm really pi$$ed at o2's poor planning. It can't be that hard. They lie too when you phone them and I HATE liars!! Rant over.

@ Brandy.

You won't get order statas showing on yours, if it's a brand new contract, untill they have assigned you a phone number, ie when the K800 is in the post to you.
