How in gods name do you get photos like that?!?! I got a w800i but i have taken a couple of photos with my w800 and they are crap compared to anything i have seen on the forum!

Hello mate, welcome to esato. Luck and good lighting in most cases, I don't post everything I shoot as from time to time it's inevitable that a shot won't be as good as intended. I don't walk around looking for a good picture to take, for me, I could be out and sometimes see something out of the corner of my eye and may have a double take at which point the camera comes out
I have also made sure the phones picture settings are to fine.

the idea is to shoot everything that might come out well. Take more than one picture of your subject. I take at least 4 or 5 of the same thing.
Heres a pic i took 8 time before i was finnaly happy...

Here is another cool pic with the solarize and nightmode on (even though it was light enough) and the flash to give it that "shocked" effect...
Came out pretty neat i think...
