Next patch version for the Z is still 4.1.2 but has some optimizations, let me name a few:
- Soft keys + notification bar background changed, it is now black and looks a lot better.
- There is an option to adjust the white balance of the screen
- There is an options to enable/disable the notification light
- Stamina seems to work much better, better standby time plus LED notification works with stamina on. Also noticed that apps in stamina exception list work much better now.
- WiFi reception is MUCH better.
- Camera opens faster than before, still a bit slow for my taste but it is a step to the right direction.
- The device is faster in general. Have tested this with another not updated device and it is in the scale of ms but still it is faster and more responsive.

tapas, try "Illumination Bar Notification" instead light flow. It works for my ZL.

Guys in a bit of a bother....
Notification led not working..... I mean i installed light flow.. And after setting all things up... It was good.. All working
But how I don't know after some time.. Led was not glowing..then i uninstalled the light flow but still didn't work..
I iimmediately charged the phone.... And to my relief the orange led was glowing... So the led was ok..

Stamina mode blocks it.

@king-james and doministry... bro i don't think illumination bar notification is for Z.. I think its for S/P may be ZL
And yeah the led is working now.... Just wiped the dalvik cache and it was ok
Thanks for the advise though |

Today I perfectly understood how Sony contrast control works across the device.
Now I can confirm the UI is less saturated just for batt saving.
I just made a screenshot. And the homescreen looks totally different in the gallery than in original.
Skocking difference.

I just got my xperia z last week from Sony and I love everything about it. I just have a question; is it normal to have a slight yellowish tint at the bottome of the screen? |

Use any original cable, cheap cables will charge too slow.. even other brand ( Sammy, Moto, HTC ) original cable are good...

@bronxdude: What is the output of the ray charger?. if its significantly lower than the Z's, that might be the cause of the problem.
I used the one from my old arc and it was quite slower, when i checked, the Arc's charger has an output of 850mA while the one from my T has an output of 1200mA.

That`s strange I also used Ray charger when the phone charges slowly.
You sad your phone is new... I recomend to wait for two weeks for the batery to get up to speed, and if the problem still occur to go for a replacement, but you should get at least one full discharge-charge cycle (till the device shut down itself and then charging it for at least 8hours). I did this two times with every new phone I get, and never had battery problems. |
