Are You serious? They go through all that effort with comparing just to post pics which are destroyed by JPEG compression artefacts, and failing to provide info in what resolution these crops are, or provide full size pics? Is it me or mobile phones sites are getting dumber and dumber... |

I love Sony and I love my Xperia Z, but the photos aren't perfect.
It's not particularly easy to take a fantastic shot, often the auto-mode often incorrectly analyses the scene, photos are over sharpened even when the conditions shouldn't need it, colours are sometimes massively over saturated to the extent that the photo looks like something else with really terrible fringing (perhaps this is the BE2 engine).
Saying all that, if you have the time to make an effort to pick out the right settings you can take beautiful shots. I took my maiden win in last month's esato phone photo comp with Xperia Z. It will certainly take a good shot if the subject suits the processing algorithms.

I've run it in the car for the last few days, audio quality I can't hear anything bad from, volume is fine is the same as from the headphone socket on the phone, nothing to complain about. i know you were interested in the battery. I've had it on 24 hours a day for 3 or 4 days not plugged in to a power source, it was connected to the phone for about an hour a day average, during which time it was playing at full volume (I use the car volume knob to control the volume) and today it started to beep that it was running low. So I make that about 100 hrs of standby with 4 hours of playback, no calls during that time, I don't talk on the phone much anyway, ironically I use my phone for all forms of connectivity except voice calls. I didn't test the supplied earphones as the cable is really short and if you take your audio more seriously you'll probably have a favourite headset already.

Thank you Ricky
I may use for music up to two-three hours maximum during at my commute between home and workplace, if it not work maybe I grabbing up another device for music purpose with extra cost.
Very rarely for majority consumers whose need extra zoom and crop from mobile image, totally non sense.

question.
with Xperia Z available unlocked in USA (C6602 - HSPA+) and strong rumors of C6603 being on T-Mobile USA LTE, im wondering which is better. I have a Xperia TX with HSPA+ using the T-Mobile USA network, good and fast. never had LTE but heard it was faster. also, which is more internationally used? if I travel, which is more compatible?
now I also read that the Tmobile LTE is different from other LTE network, is that true?

Lets hope in their future phones with the possible Cyber-shot and Carl Zeiss they will improve. But then again Cyber-shot is just two words and doesn't mean anything if the software for image processing is not optimized right

@ Ricky D
Pretty sure it's the BE2 causing the oversaturation and oversharpness, on my Xperia Go that takes pictures that needs a little bit more saturation, when I turn on BE it makes all the pictures too saturated, personally I only like the BE when watching videos, on photos it makes it look unnatural.

T-Mo will exclusively launch Xperia Z (C6606) which is support their AWS LTE service, AFAIK.

What do you mean by Kaz? not wanting to ask about your friend, but does he work for AT&T, Sony, or a tester of products?
Though I'm not with AT&T, but I do have family and friends who are and would love to have it. if it's true, that's awesome.
