Launching before Summer means a possible announcement next month or in May. I think they'll get a lot of new fans with the XZ2 flagship.

I dont think it will share the design of XZ2.
We know MIRAI means FUTURE.
How do I imagine something futuristic?
100% screen.
And that post on FB... What if that is the phone?

Well .. the y dongle is the best option as of now
Yeah because there's nothing else, But the idea I pointed out is next better thing, doesn't require special adapters, and you can still carry a single charging cable which you can connect the headphone to it..
The charging cable can have either a female 3.5" port or female Type-C port for Type-C headphones.

The only one part that make me concern is that FPS position !
Just only one !
Yeah I hate it too much, I can't install the phone holder there as it should be attached in the center of the phone.

the vivo phone looks great and is imaginative. still a concept but shows innovation beyond what everyone else is doing. THIS should have been sony. It's a shame that it's not.
For some reason, I don't think the premium/pro model coming will share the same curved design of the XZ2. Mostly because I don't think the dual camera would look very good with that curved back. It would also make the placement of the camera lenses more toward the middle if the lenses are placed vertically, which seems like the only option with that design since placing them horizontally would create some weird camera bump given the curve of the back.
Add to that the sensor array and it's a mess with that type of design. So, for these reasons, i think the back will be flat and we'll see the design flare in the shape and styling of the frame as well as the choice of materials.
Look forward to seeing it for sure! Will it tempt me to upgrade? it'll be 1 year with my XZP by then...

XZ2 design has nothing to do with high end specs, it's utter garbage and a massive downgrade to the previous design languange (that was maybe obsolete in some sense but it did it's job).
I hope the new Premium shares nothing with the XZ2 design.

Well the main drawback of the loop design was the bezels...
The loop evolved from the omnibalance and the y design would have been a great step forward from the loop design ..
I am not keeping any hopes but... if the premium would have y design it would be great... i think everyone will love it |

Oh I forgot one thing.
There will be another phone for IFA as well.

I expect the new Premium in between MWC and IFA. Don't know what kind of phone could be presented at IFA. |

@ascariss the missing device was the first of the 3 that got certified. It has size of XZ1
XZ2 just has curved glass, screen does not have round corners like G6.
I'm not talking about the round corners of the glass but the body.
The first of the 3 certified was the PY7-21831A, this is the XZ2. Certified on 20th of Jan then 9 days later the XZ2c, PY7-24118Q, this had its ID changed to PY7-87507Q, next this was certified PY7-72474U on Feb 3rd.
PY7-44254H also appeared but this is just the "1. The original identification is FCC ID: PY7-21831A".
So the only unknown device is the PY7-72474U which had no actual dimensions in the FCC docs. But it just as well be the 6gb variant of the ZX2 who knows.
u're right, i checked everything @fcc , the one was dismissed and certified again is xz2, only model we havent much info about is py7-72474u , the reason i think it could be different model is documents doesnt list splitter but i noticed other model's some documents also doesnt list splitter.and i checked charger's serial number for 72474u , it's same for xz2 compact so this model probably is xz2 compact, most likely there is no pro @fcc. |

This...
And also what is the point of announcing a phone few months after MWC? If it god delayed and they already f**ked up, then wait for IFA, you already lost.
The sad thing is that I have seen many shitty Chinese and other brands like Alcatel announcing more exciting and prettier phones then XZ2...
I am sure phones like ASUS Zenphone 5Z and VIVO Apex gor far more attention then Sony.

Well the XZ2c is prob this one, PY7-24118Q (PY7-87507Q), the sim card slot is in the same position as the ZX2c, and the fcc docs give us these dimensions, which matches a 5 inch device and the 135 x 65 also matches the ZX2c.
I feel that py7-72474u could be the 6gb variant of the xz2 since I feel both the xz2 and XZ2c use the same charger?
Who knows, if no new device is certified before the dual camera phone, then it might mean that py7-72474u was/is the dual camera phone.
But if another device is certified before the dual camera phone's release/intro then the unknown 3rd device was not the dual camera phone.
It's highly likely that even the dual camera phone will use the same charger as the XZ2.

@ascariss
xz2 and compact use same charger model but serial numbers are different yet 24118 and 72474's charger have exact same serial numbers. |

I hate to guess. It's just what SONY staff told me.
