Anything regarding the battery (capacity)? And it seems to be non user removable, which could be a real dealbraker considering replacing the battery of my devices after 13-15 month of use due capacity loss. But if you anyway replace your device every 12 month this shouldn't be a deal braker for you. |

Question to Sony:
Why is the Xperia Z launching with Android 4.1? And when will it get 4.2, cause May/June Google will introduce Key Lime Pie? Will there be ever a Xperia device launching with the actual Android version and not just with the last one?
Xperia Z is nice device, but not perfect
negativ part:
- Android 4.1
- No removable battery
- to small battery (2400mAh)
- overheating
- glass back, even if is dragontail it's still glass

The differences between 4.1 and 4.2 is in short:
Built in camera app - Sony's got their own software for that
Multi user capability - Sony might do it on 4.1 as they did on Xperia Tablet S
Keyboard - Sony's got their own keyboard Or just get Swiftkey which is a badass keyboard
Widget update
Google Search and Google Now is improved.
As you know Sony will probably give these new phones 4.2 shortly after launch in Q1

Sony and other manufacturers are not allowed to put multi users on phones. Patented by Nokia. Only on tablets. |

Will we see Vita OS on a smartphone or tablet this year?
Certain people think it isn't very good in its current state for phones. Well done for stating the obvious, it would obviously be adapted for phones/tablets, given a better browser etc.
It's not all about where it is now. It's about what it can become in a few years. No-one expects the first product to be perfect. It's where it leads... |

Nokia dosen't own the patent. I think the issue rests with Google.
" The U.S. Patent Office reflects that fact Nokia doesn't own a patent for multiple user accounts, with the site noting the patent application was abandoned in October 2009 after the company failed to respond to a request from the Patent Office. "
From Cnet http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57543535-94/nokia-not-blocking-multiple-users-on-android-phones/
...
What's good about Vita OS? From an outsider point of view who do not own a Vita, I think the UI is horrendous - ugly circular icons and rigid arrangement of them leaves me totally disappointed with SCE's UI development. The PS3 XMB looked simple and cool; if they could've just developed it further to modernize the UI with more fluid navigation instead of abandoning it for the grade-school Vita OS.

And Wife too, for those who are married
On a serious note, I agree most of the features that 4.2 provides are of little value to an average user.

You know that e-mail some people received, I've been wondering. What does 'Can't wait to show you what it can do' mean?
I mean, what product could it be that they are so excited about. If it is the Yuga they are talking about, that must means some amazing new software features, because the V is waterproof and fast too with a nice camera, so it can't be a hardware aspect...
And regarding Vita OS, I think Sony can make it more mature in terms of design and colours etc (as their Android UI is), and in the long-term, even if the first Vita is not completely revolutionary, as long as it beats its competitors or at least rivals them in terms of power and price, then Sony can develop on that yearly, and eventually have something amazing on their hands.
