What I did: rename the R1L002 files to R1N035 just before press the C and dock the phone for updating process.
Can I do that to install another version of R1L002?
I want a version to silent my camera.

Nopes, you that's not possible. Have you tried coughing or farting to cover the sound? hehehe |

Isn't it the actual flashing software that can silence the shutter sound and not the firmware itself? |

I know there is an option to silance the camera sound if you are using Total Multi Server to flash ur phone. But i am unsure if this changes a firmware setting or is just part of the tool. |

Mute the phone if you want to mute the shutter. Press and hold the # key.

This does not always work as some countrys require you to have a noise when taking a photo. Some k750i are silent (like mine, UK) others are required to make the noise even when in silent mode |

Sorry I have gotten a little lost here. I have tried to upgrade my firmware to the latest verson and it suceeded half way leaving me with the R1035N and the camera version 0.9. So I have a phone that works, but corrupted my MS Duo, and the camera that does not. Is there a way to fix this currently via SEUS? I do not want to send my phone away for 2 weeks. What are my options? I do not want to void the warrenty by using Davinci, although tempting. Thanks for any advice. jZ |

You options are: check if you bought your phone les than 28 days ago- if so, you might be able to return it and get a new one or get your money back. Otherwise i think you have to send it away for "repair" and if you do so, tell them that you want the firmware, that worked flawlessly for you, to be put back into your phone!
If you are grasping for straws, then you might want to try to use recovery mode in the update options. Or maybe, and that is really a maybe, try to flash your phone again in normal mode.
Thatīs alla i can think of. Maybe anyone else has some better advise?
Oh i forgot: off course you can wait for a new firmware to update with. Personally i grew tired of waiting and hoping for a new, better firmware so mi returned my phone for "repair" (i had my phone for more then 28 days unfortunatley.)....sooner or later(probably later) they will solve if not all, most of the issues.

Have now been able ot update my silver, voda branded phone to R1N035 via SEUS.
The progress bar jumped from 52% to 100%, which after some of the posts worried me, but the camera appears to work, and shows sw 4.5 |

I've update to N035 and lost lots of data..
Camera quality is now very very very poor.
Still having problem with the MC 256mb. wont allow me to copy lots of files to it through the PC and USB, but doesn't say that it has failed.

This is exactly the problem with the R1N software. You need to have the phone put back to R1L002... |
