Bear in mind I have been away from for 2 years and used the iPhone 3GS and 4, so am really happy with it

Yeah, I was bearing that in mind mate and also taking into account your comments over the years etc... Both of us are long time members who jumped the SE ship due to shoddy phones, so I definately value your opinion... I know if it was crap, you'd say so without a second thought!

Hi,

My Arc keeps freezing up. Sometimes apps freeze (no specific ones), but a lot of times the phone freeze when going back to the home screen and after a while I get the popup with the force close/wait options.

Any tips on finding the culprit? I want to keep the full reset as a last resort, because I don't want to spend days getting everything back in order (again). Not running any special stuff. (switchpro widget, some volume widget, advanced task killer, battery time). I've already cleared some data here and there to no avail.

Thanx

Mathieu

@Caspa

Damn you know me well

The does what it is meant too... The screen is great, audio is great (paired with my IE6's) and overall very pleased with it... I am really happy with the battery - 2 days use, took a few weeks to get there... Plus I only install what I use.

@xperia_man

Where did you get playstation pocket from?

It can be specific app causing this.
Or those tools to improve performance.

I am liking my Arc a lot but a couple of things are irritating me:

- When opening the phonebook, it keeps asking me to import contacts. Ticking the "Don't ask again" button doesn't work.
- No matter how many times I synch, only a handful of my Facebook contacts pictures etc are synching with my phonebook. Some have synched up, so it's not as if there could be a settings problem, as far as I can tell.

Anyone discovered solutions to this yet?

Has anyone installed Spotify? Says Arc isn't supported, can I choose any of the other devices listed to install it on my Arc?

I run Spotify on my Arc, no problems.

I have 2 contacts that are synced but no picture is showing really don't know why

try delete one contact and create it again? if it works you know what you have to do with the rest of them

Thanks Skibbe, not liking the sound of the manual job I might have to do to get the contacts right...

Did you just go find Spotify in the Android Market? Maybe I can't find it as I am in Ireland right now and Spotify isn't supported here.

Well you don't use SIM card do you?
Or in flight mode?
In my case once SIM is in and the phone in normal mode this thing disappears.

Actually, am waiting for a network unlock code to come through so I have been offline (just playing via Wifi) so far, so that might well be the issue. Thanks.
